CEO, the acronym stands for chief executive officer and yes there is certitude when you designate the term to a person employed in a business ambience. A 360 degree evaluation of women in our society would reveal the fact that almost every one of them could not be credited with a designation less than that of a CEO's. Irrespective of class, creed, religion, nationality, race or any other reservations, one could very well confer such a designation to even a common house wife instead of cornering their innate potential and emotional freedom in this cynical world.
To call one a CEO would mean possessing the qualities of leadership, good verbal and written skills, problem solving capacity, team management skills, disciplined person, achiever, motivator etc. Planning, organizing, directing, staffing, coordinating and performing the entire gamut of managerial functions would well delineate the onus of a corporate executive. In actual terms the common house wife or now being elatedly called as the "house manager" performs a significant role no different from that of a corporate woman and is seen to be seldom compromising on perfection whilst meeting her objectives on the home front where family comes first to her.
Her qualities were always undermined as it was a practice that was either imposed on her or valiantly taken up by her for the familial goal to be met. A majority of us have reached great heights in life solely due to the selfless deed that was once exhibited by our mother's who were or still are sidelined as sheer house wives.
Let us delineate the qualities, chores and attributes possessed by a corporate woman and a house wife for us to get a better understanding of this reality. What has been portrayed below is based on my perspective and would also reflect the characteristics of people whom I've met all through my life.

She keeps a check on the expenditure so as to reduce overheads
She turns a frugal spender managing the familial expenses

She analyzes her competitors strategies to have an upper edge in the industry
She is proud to have her spouse and kids achieve greater things in life

She is a good motivator and boosts up the morale of employees via perks, incentives and pep talks
She is a selfless woman who would boost the spirit of her family by a warm hug, a kiss, a compliment, or by preparing delicious dishes

She identifies the pitfalls in business and takes measures for recompense
She would always be the first person to notice something going wrong in her family

She is proud as long as the company is alive and is paid for what she does
She glows with a complacent smile never demanding for what she has done

She might turn hostile to a person who acts against the norms of the company
She is always forgiving, melting down as a candle and is an epitome of love & sacrifice
A simple inference one would be able to make out from the afore-mentioned assertions would weigh the house wife very much at par or above the status of a corporate CEO. Little is this fact known even to the common house wife. Apart from the sophisticated office ambience and a glorified designation assigned to a CEO, the common woman could never be left far behind when recognizing her potential and the significant role she has played in brightening up the future of many a man.
Even today, she remains furtive as the curtains of custom, social taboos and male chauvinism have restrained her from removing her veil. Still, she stays complacent, full of hopes and inspiration adding on another golden feather to her crown of modesty and altruism.
