India today, facing a number of crises, Floods, Bomb blast, Earthquakes, etc.
Economy of India improving. But still we see poverty. Slums. Robberries. Who is responsible for all this?
We the Indians? Corruption, Politics, Taxation.
I think we are all thinking wrong. We need to think in a different way. I call on to MR. Prime minister. Please get something done fast, we can do wonders.
Firstly - Taxation and economy of India
Today how many of us pay tax in India?
If you get that figure. Now take this figure our population. India houses a population of 1.1 billion (10\9) people (2006), comprising approximately one-sixth of the world's population.
Now even if we collect a Rs100/- tax per head everymonth, even a begger would can afford it. From each and ever INDIAN CITIZEN. You know what will be our treasury look like :

I think 110 billion Ruppees a month should be sufficient enough money that our government gets to serve India to be a better place. Taking above way of coolecting the tax, is much more benificial, as after taking 500 rupees of tax from an individual. He need not pay sales tax, service tax, octroi, income tax, no tax at all. that will save his 1000's of money every month.
I think any one can afford that.
Remains the question of riches and poorers, Here since riches need not pay any taxes, the business will flourish. People will get more salaries. many people will get jobs as gaint companies can now invest their monies in setting up more and more Companies. There will be no need of BLACK MONEY.
The road ways, transportation, communication can be 100% done in the money collected.
Military will get a huge money for its research and development.
Space research can improve. More funds will be available.
Let the leaders move in their mercedies, never mind, till the time they pay 500 ruppes per month and do their jobs.
We would get a sum of rupees :
1.1 x 6000 -- 6600 billion
i.e. 66,60,00,00,00,000
budget 2006 2007 Total revenue is
57,63,81,00,00,000
That's a 6600 billion every year -That Says it all!
