| DOES EVERYBODY HAS A ‘BREAKING-POINT’? |

I have very often found people taking the ‘Excuse’ of being ‘Helpless’ when they do something wrong or ‘Unacceptable’ to the society.
I always wonder as up to what extent one can become helpless. In my opinion, there is no ‘Breaking Point’ for anybody. It is only a ‘Mask’ one hides himself behind in the name of ‘Left with No Choice’.
Let us start with our childhood days. In school, child takes the ‘Excuse’ of not doing his ‘Homework’, on the pretext that there was no electricity in the night. But, why in the first place does he wait for the ‘Dusk’ at all? Because, he cannot compromise with his ‘Playing Time’.
When he grows up, makes friends and if indulges in ‘Casual Drinking’ or ‘Smoking’, the ‘Blame’ goes to ‘Forcing Friends’. If the ‘Friends’ can ‘Force’ him to a ‘Bad Habit’, why can’t the ‘Better Bunch’ force him to crack ‘Competitions’ like them?
Afterwards comes the most in-thing of today’s generation, i.e. ‘Flirting’. One does indulge into it but when caught, he/she blames the ‘Circumstances’ which ‘Trapped’ him/her in spite of all his/her innocence.
This follows the choosing of ‘Career’ and ‘Life Partner’. Although one chooses both as per his own choice, he keeps the ‘Obligatory Burden’ on his parents & family only. And that too in a heavier manner if the calculation proves wrong.
So, what is there in our life, which we can put entire blame of our own follies on? Without taking the refuge of ‘Circumstances’ or ‘Helplessness’?
To me, nothing!
Because there is nothing in this world which could be compromised with on the excuse of reaching the ‘Dead End’. As even ‘Death’ itself starts a new beginning by entering a new Body as per our mythology.
One dupes the other at the drop of a hat by sharing his secret taking the excuse of ‘Having No Choice’. But he keeps the same secrete even at the cost of one’s life if it might harm him directly.
Is it due to one’s ‘Breaking Point’ or his Narcissistic approach towards life?
The difference can very well be understood by a simple example of Extracting Tooth from ‘Other’s’ mouth one’s ‘Own’ mouth, irrespective of appreciating that it ‘Hurts’ equally to everybody.
In the infamous BMW case, only those witnesses turned hostile who had not lost their dear ones in the accident. The Almighty has yet to devise a ‘Model’, which can run with ‘Equal Pace’ on same fuel.
The crux is that we keep people in different ‘Shelves’ all through our lives and make different rules for different people. Otherwise, there is nothing like ‘Breaking Point’ in anybody’s life. It is only a Jargon. Something, which ‘Breaks’ the other, is called the ‘Breaking Point’, but when the same is used to ‘Make’ the other is called the ‘Making Point’. I wonder how can the same ‘Dead-end Circumstances’ be dealt differently according to different ‘Interests’.
We should, therefore, not allow ourselves to succumb to the ‘Circumstances’ as per our convenience. If the ‘Circumstances’ can force us to ‘Slap’ other’s kid, we should have enough grit and courage to repeat the ‘Act’ on our own kid as well, if the ‘Circumstances’ recur.
Although, everybody has his own perception towards life, but if he starts debating on every point with everybody, this world would turn into a huge ‘Court of Law’. I would, therefore recommend the theory of Shri Bajpayee to everybody that says:-
‘Hum Apni Safaai Mein Kabhi Kuchch Na Kahenge,
Ik Roz Waqt Khud Hi Suna Dega Faisla.’
In my opinion, this world can become a real ‘Heaven on Earth’ if we draft a ‘Common Code of Conduct’ for us and others as well and adhere to it too.
Today I read a beautiful Ghazal about ‘Human Relationships’, a couplet of which I wish to share with my readers:-
‘Jo Zindagi Ko Jeete Rahey Apni Tarah Se,
Yeh Sirf Wohi Jaante Hain Unko Kya Mila.’
