Last week I came across the unusual blend or rather co-existence of GANDHIGIRI, DADAGIRI, HUMANITY, FAITH, and FRIENDSHIP. All together.
On the fateful night, somehow so happened that I had to board a Private Public Transport bus while returning from office. When I got up from my seat to alight at my destination bus stop, a nice looking and well mannered guy was standing at the door, obstructing it completely. I asked him to give me the way so that I could get down. He, very politely assured me that he would make way for me once the bus would stop.
However, he did not move and I missed my bus stop. When I showed my dissent he immediately apologized and gave me the way to alight on the next stop. He was the ‘GANDHI’ of our story.
Now ‘BHAI’ comes into picture. While our Modern Day ‘GANDHI’ was keeping me busy with his sugar coated conversation, his accomplice was coolly ‘Cutting’ my sling-bag and taking out everything out of it. In a nutshell I was killed with a ‘Sugar Coated Cyanide Pill’.
After getting down at my Bus Stop when I came to know about what had happened with me, although I got perturbed, without losing my cool I went to the nearest Police Beat where three COPs were having tea.
There I met with ‘HUMANITY’. After listening to my woes, examining my torn bag, and imagining my ‘Frame of Mind’ one of those cops name Head Constable Surinder Singh, offered his self-less services and accompanied me to the nearest Police Station to lodge a complaint himself. He, without wasting a minute, registered my complaint and dropped me at my residence. On that day I believed the slogan ‘Delhi Police – With You, For You – Always’.
Now the most important part of the entire episode, which I would cherish for rest of my life. The force of ‘FAITH’. Although I had lost almost everything in the incident, when I reached home I found that ‘BHAI & GANDHI Duo’ had not touched the ‘CASIO Digital Diary’, which contained important telephone numbers and was lying next to the wallet. Since the cost of the Diary was no less than Rs. 1000/-, it was a bit surprising as why did they not touch it. Though I had lost so much, nonetheless, it was a relief that I had not lost the important telephone numbers although it remained mystery till today when I came to know the reason.
Today, my Digital Diary started showing ‘Low Battery’. When I opened the ‘Battery Compartment’, I completely got overwhelmed by the power of ‘FAITH’ when I found the ‘Picture’ of the ‘Divine Personality’ I admire most inside it. The picture was stuck to the ‘Battery Compartment’.
In fact, recently somebody gave me that picture and to keep it safe and always with me I found the ‘Battery Compartment’ as the best place as it could neither fall off from there and the ‘Digital Diary’ always remains with me. So my ‘FAITH’ did not deceive me and made me forget the ‘Financial Damage’ which became trivial before it. It proved that ‘HE’ was still with me during those fateful moments too and did not let those harms do any physical harm to me.
But the Cherry on the Cake was put by one of my dearest friends Pawan, an immensely resourceful person. On hearing the news he immediately deputed one of his persons to help me out in getting my official documents like Driving License, Insurance Papers etc. made without letting me move an inch from my place. Moreover, he sent me an extremely beautiful and expensive Sling Bag which he had brought from UK previous week only. So shall I repeat the old phrase that a “FRIEND in need is a FRIEND indeed’?
I shared the above example with you all because it taught me many things, that one cannot generalize things in this world. If there are ‘Goons’ there are ‘Gurus’ as well. ‘Friends’ are their to take on ‘Foes’ and ‘Faith’ to overpower the ‘Fright’. These things make this world a Multi-Starrer, Technicolor Block Buster which would always be a Hit in spite of Makes, Remakes and Re-Remakes also.
However, here is a couplet for everybody to keep this world always full of fragrance:-
“Phool Rakhiye Na Rakhiye Raahon Mein,
Lab Pe Sab ke Liye Dua Rakhiye”.
