“IT’S THE THAT FAITH THAT ‘UNITES’! NOT DEBATES WHICH INVITE ‘FIGHTS’”
I am extremely pained ever since a debate over the ‘Drinking of Milk’ by Lord Ganesha’s idols has erupted on media, where scientist are out to prove it only as another example of ‘Extreme Superstition’.
Although I am myself a Post Graduate in Science and hold a responsible position in Government, to me “Religion” is a matter of “Belief” and not “Debate”.
One has to declare himself either a “Believer” or a “Non-Believer” because there is no “Middle Path” available as per one’s convenience. If one can believe that Hanumanji and Krishnaji had lifted an entire mountain with one hand or drank the entire sea, why does he want to disapprove that idols can drink milk?
May I ask all these “Erudite (?)’,where did they get this ‘Brain’ from which is ‘Capable’ of denouncing even the power of Almighty? Have they invented this ‘Brain’ also or, else, can they create one, scientifically?
Secondly if there is no existence of any super-natural power or God and everything that happens on earth is science why do they all bow before idols? Just for the sake of being labeled as religious without having an unalterable faith in their heart? Had it been only science and nothing else that drives this world, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma etc. would have been in the ‘Hall of Fame’ of Nobel laureates and not inside temples.
Our so-called intellectual-class is so blatantly following double-standards that it can blow anybody’s mind. They would add an extra ALPHABET before or after their name on the instructions of a Numerologist to rejuvenate their fortune but would debate against ‘Existence of God’ in the guise of science.
I remember a beautiful line of a song written by Ravindra Jain two decades ago;
“Maano To Main Ganga Maa Hoon, Na Maano To Behta Paani.”
It is good to be practical, prudent and contemporary but up to certain extent only. In spite of so much of progress it is still the “Religion” that binds people in a country. Let us not shake it.
I would be the first person to stop worshipping the God and replace all idols with the pictures of scientists if they turn only one dead man alive or get immortality for one soul.
