NAME REMEBERING STRATEGY
When was the last time you saw someone whose name you should have remembered? They knew you and called you by name. But you had no idea what their name was.
Most of people complaint "I cant remember names" While nobody says, "I can remember names, but cant remember faces" No problem with faces of course; it is always the name that creates problem.
Reason for this is quite simple. We all tend to remember much better the things we see than the things we hear. We always see faces but usually only hear the names--therein lies the problem.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was a master at recalling names. He continually amazed his staff by remembering someone's name that he had only met once, months before. Asked how he did it, he said he saw the person's name written out on their forehead.
Imagine how wonderful it would be if you could always remember a person's name after you met them. It would certainly save you from future embarrassment.
Here is a practical way of remembering names. Using this Strategy, you can remember the names of 70 or more people in less than 30 minutes.
In remembering names, the first thing is through auditory “Sense of Sound" Concentrate on staying external with the person by listening to them then repeat mentally their name three times.
The second thing is through visual “Sense of Sight". Imagine that you can see their name written on their forehead. To make it more permanent, see their name in your favorite color of magic marker. Do this while you're mentally repeating their name.
The third way to remember a person's name is through the kinesthetic “Sense of Touch". You can code this in by letting your finger imagine what it would be like to write the person's name as you're seeing it and repeating it. Move your finger in little micro-muscle movements as if you were actually writing their name. This will code their name into your neurology at a more deeper level.
If you use this process with everyone you meet, pretty soon it will become an automatic part of who you and you'll just do it unconsciously whenever you meet someone new. You'll find that you can remember a large group of people's names with ease, and forever.
