There is really only one sin!
When asked what is sin, how do you answer?
This article is my answer to those who asked me. God doesn't excuse sin, he pardons it, but only through atonement!
Sin is denying God our Creator, in favor of Satan . That is what sin amounts to Satan, is chosen over God in this world because he feeds our desires. We may wish to deny this , but that's only stubborn pride to believe that we are not victims of the wily ways in Satans schemes
Christ did not sin, he wasn't married to Mary Magdalene, the people who spread those stories are the very types who Satan has used over the centuries to increase his followers.
God did not intend our method of procreation to become the reason for most of our sin. Sensual desire from carnal attraction was devised totally by Satan to win us for himself. We who have bought into it are destined to live with him, out of god's reach hungering for God and righteousness never having our thirst quenched that is the hell we face, when we believe in Satans deceptions.
Satan appealed to our baser instincts to inspire sexual attraction, making us desire what we were not meant to. That is why erotica and porn has ruled the hearts of so many, bringing disaster to even whole nations because of it. It destroys our sense of balance, making us slaves to Satans whims, so that all we can think of, is finding love to satisfy the desires we have, never realizing that the lust will never fill the needs we have, and sex can never sate the true desire of the heart.
You will notice that there is a minority of happily married people ,or those in long-lasting relationships, and their success happened, only because they have learned that there is a time and place for all things and each must be given their proper priorty so that there will be balance that results in harmony.
Sex is not first among them, though that is what has happened in our culture, it is at the top of all things. There is hardly a sentence without some innuendo about it. There isn't an advertisement without it. No movie TV etc even the Disney features with just animation all have wisecracks or referrence to it, some way or other. It overwhelms all other subjects. Our youth constantly think of it, and now do it as easily as chewing gum.
Sexual attraction and a lusty approach to love is not wrong if it isn't the only attraction, and doesn't become possesive, or an obsession. I used Sex as a basis for sin, because it is the most prevalent cause for most peoples distress, and they don't even realize it. They put the blame for their misery elsewhere, because way down deep there is the guilt that they keep hidden, due to the way they have allowed sex to rule their lives.
God doesn't see sin in terms of sex, or any of the other terms we use. To God, sin is anything that keeps us from loving him,so what it is doesn't matter, as much as why it is.
Why would you choose anything over God who created you? That is the main question God deals with. If you can deny Him in favor of another god (an idol) then you have problems with the way you think. That is why your mind needs to be transformed. God renews the mind. Satan destroys it! It's that simple.
So whether your idol is sex money greed, power,etc or all of them, makes no difference to God. His only concern is for you to realize, that by denying him you will never have the joy of eternity, and all the wealth and beauty he has waiting in His realms for you, beyond anything you could dream or imagine. Simply put denying God is the only sin.
Satan has something for you too, defeat,misery a forever unhappy state of distress, wanting what you can never have, if you wait until you pass from this realm. You either learn to love God now, while living under Satans earthly rule, or you don't forever.
