Touch Wood or Die
Two boys usually play this game, one chasing the other...
The boy who leads first touches a wooden door, or a ledge or threshold. Then he runs to the next wooden door so fast that he is not caught by the other boy.
In this way he goes from door to door, until he is caught when not touching wood.
A clever runner can use the curves of alleys and avoid being caught as he runs through a lane or bazaar.
When the chaser catches the chased, he becomes the chased and the chased the chaser.
