PARADISE OF MALAYSIA

Malaysia the most pleasant, lively and wealthy countries in South-East Asia. It has moved towards a pluralist culture based on a resonant and interesting fusion of Malay, Indian, Chinese and native culture and customs. Here, the main attractions are Kuala Lumpur, Merdeka square, Melaka, Stadthuys, Ethnographic museum, St. Paul Church, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Penang Island, Fort Cornwallis, Sera Rambai, Kuan Yin Teng temple, Penang Hill, Cameron Highlands, Tioman Island, Pulan Tioman, Kampung Nipah, Perlis, Langkawi group, Taiping, Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh, Tasik Chini, Taman Negara National Park, Niah Caves, Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, Batu Punggul, Kota Belud and Mt. Kinabalu.
The first attraction is Kuala Lumpur. It is one of the boom city of well over a million people. It has abundance of colonial building in its center, a vibrant Chinatown with street venders and night markets. The night markets is the most interesting place to eat in the evening. Mid range hotels and hostels can be found in Chinatown, Jalan Pudu Lama and Jalan Bukit Bitang. And Merdeka square is the tallest building in the world; stands a 95m dominate the skyline in Malaysia. The next attraction is Melaka. Melaka is considered Malaysia’s most historic city and it is an interesting blend of Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and British influences. Ancient looking junks still sail up the river, saturate the cascade with a timeless charm and the city remains full of entire Chinese streets, antique shop and temples. The most impressive memento of the Dutch Period in Melaka is the massive Pink town hall-Stadthuys. It was build between 1641 and 1660. It’s believed to be the oldest. Dutch buildings in Asia and displays have all the characteristic feature of Dutch colonial architecture. The houses, buildings, government offices and an excellent Ethnographic museum, which highlights the aspect of local history and culture. The imposing ruin of St. Paul Church, built by the Portuguese over 400 years ago, stands in a beautiful setting a top St. Paul’s Hill. The Cheng Hoong Teng Temple is the oldest Chinese temple in Malaysia and all of the artisans who built it were imported from China.
What makes Penang Island really marked is the resonant city of Georgetown. You are certain to see beautiful old Chinese houses, vegetables markets, temple ceremonies and mahjong games. You can still see the time worn walls of Fort Cornwallis in the center of Georgetown. Then, Sera Rambai the another attraction. It is the largest cannon & has a variegated history dating back to 1600. It’s famed for its generative powers and childless women are recommended to place flowers in the barrel and offer special prayers. Kuan Yin Teng temple is one of the most popular temples in the city because the worshippers burn paper money at the furnaces. The Penang hill rises 830m above Georgetown and provides cool relief from the sticky heat blow. There are pleasant gardens, a hotel, a Hindu temple and a mosque at the top. There are plenty of Chinese and Indian restaurants, but be adventurous and try the succulent local dishes on offer from the streets halls, which appear right along the esplanade behind the Penang Library.
The next bulbous magical charm is Cameron Highlands. The attractions include jungle walks, waterfalls, tours of tea plantation, beautiful gardens and plenty of wild flowers. The more expensive options are scattered between Tanah Rata and Brichang. After Cameron highland, Tioman island the other beautiful temptation in Malaysia. It boats attractive beaches, coral-filled water, technicolour marine life, virtually unpopulated jungle highlands, crystal stream and the dramatic peaks of Batu Sirau and Nenek Semukut. It has been blessed with exotic place names like Palm-Frond hill and village of Doubt Pulan. Tioman is the most popular travelers destination and Kampung Nipah is the place to go if you rally want to get away from it all.
Taiping in Perak has beautiful lake gardens and well preserved Anglo-Malay building. Also in Perak is the historic royal town of Kuala Kangsar, which has five masque and places. Ipoh is the capital of Perak has elegant mansion and impressive cave temples. Tasik Chini is actually a series of 12 lakes surrounded by beautiful jungle, territory with great treks. There are 8000 species of flowering plants in Peninsular Malaysia alone, including 2000 tree species, 800 different orchids and 200 types of palm. Fauna include elephants, rhinos, tigers, leopards, tapirs, sunbears, orangutans and gibbons. And East Malaysia has one of the most abundant and varied bird populations in the world. The Taman Negara National Park accessible only by boat offers a rare opportunity to visit one of the most pristine rainforest in the world. It covers 4343sq km sprawling across Pahang, Kelautan and Terengganu. Niah caves in Sarawak are accessible only by long boat and a 3m hike, and are unforgettable for their rock paintings, forest wild life, jungle trails and night walks to see the luminous mushrooms. The huge Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park has wild life variying from monkeys and beared pigs. Batu Punggul has an adventure camp resort, jungle walks, canoeing and cave visit. The Kota Belud is the venue of one of largest open air Sunday markets and get together called a AMU. And the last entice is Mt. Kinabalu. It is the easiest mountain in the world to climb and the views from the top are sensational.
