Dr. Shanker is a Human Rights Activist for the past two decades. He has voluntarily worked for the inmates of juvenile jail of the Government of Delhi for quiet a long time and had been associated with Ms. Kiran Bedi in various social work activities, basically dealing with human rights issues.

He is a voracious reader and fighter for Human Rights and makes his presence felt wherever violations of Human Rights occur. He is a regular participant in different national and international seminars on issues relating to Human Rights.

Dr. Shanker, with the help of Manavadhikar Samajik Manch team and its members, is consistently attempting to bring to limelight different forms of Human Rights violations taking place in India and other parts of the world and pray for justice to all concerned. Dr. Shanker and his team are committed for creation of a just and equitable society.

Dr. Shanker has been associated with the IT/Telecom sector for over two decades. He has been a part of the telecom revolution in India. He has widely travelled in India and abroad. Has worked at senior positions with Nortel, GTE, Tata and presently in a top management position with a Fortune 500 company.

4. National Environment Awareness Campaign at Madanpur Khadar, supported by Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India





5. Conducted Health Relief Camp for flood victims in Bihar in collaboration with SEEDs, an NGO.





6. Voluntary Blood Donation Camps, with the help of Indian Red Cross Society and Delhi State AIDS Control Society, Government of Delhi.





7. Organized Pulse Polio Program since last two years with the support of Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Delhi.

Astrology

Astrology has been his passion and study since childhood. He did Jyotishacharya from Varanasi and authored two books namely 'Bhrigu Techniques deciphered' and 'The Impact of Saturn and Jupiter'. Also has authored a large number of articles on astrology for magazines like Express Star Teller, etc on a regular basis. He pursues this hobby in whatever time he gets in between his busy professional schedule. Applying his extensive research-based knowledge, he also gives predictions for a large number of eminent individuals / other people from all walks of life.
