Similarly, comets, meteors or meteorites too influence human life from where they pass or are visible.
Comets differ widely from planets both in their physical state and in the nature of orbits. They are a brilliant nucleus surrounded by nebulous matter stretching out into an elongated tail. They appear shining due to reflections of sunlight and emerge suddenly in the sky and can be seen for some days, weeks or months.
The comets whose motion can be calculated and dates of their appearance predicted are called periodic comets. Their motion, like planets, can also be direct or retrograde. Some of the periodic comets are Helley and Eneke. Halley comet was first seen in 1531 and then it appeared seven times subsequently.
Meteors are smaller particles moving freely around Sun. It cannot be seen with naked eyes but when they come near Earth's atmosphere it produce luminous effect as they get burnt in the earth's atmosphere.
Such month-long meteor shower is expected to be visible on the sky on May 12 this year. Known as 73P/Schwass-mann-Watchmaan 3, it was already broken into three fragments in 1995.
The C segment will be closest to the Earth on May 13. With regard to Indian Astrology, this Comet's fragment will move through the nakshatra Swati. It is the 15th Zodiacal constellation or nakshatra.
In Greeek it is termed as Bootis or Arcturus; wheeas in Arabian parlance it is known as Al-Ghafr and in China it is called Sieu.
Swati in Astrology indicates sword. Swati Nakshatra is a single star resembling a Coral beed or Pearl. Swati is ruled by Rahu under Tula rashi. The month-long meteor shower from May 13 to June 19 may influence Librans.
It may affect certain legal decisions in judiciary. Librans involved in legal cases, associated with law may feel perturbed during this period. Overall, the transition of the comet will not bring any sort of natural disasters.
