Kuch yun dil machla hai aaj likhne ke liye,
Haath na ruke kisi naye falsafe ke liye...

Roothi tanha zindagi aaj bhi jaari hai doston,
Haari nahi hai himmat mushkilon se ladne ke liye....

Be-paigaam hum aaj is mehfil mein hue jo shaamil,
Umeed hai gussa na ho ap is tishnagi ke liye....

Bharosemand haalat ne saath na diya mera,
Dohraai hui baat hai fir se karne ke liye...

Roshni aaj bhi kayam hai mehfil ki waise,
Keh gaya tha dost se diye jala rakhne ke liye....

Manzil hai meri ya nahi koi kaise kahoon,
Jitna aata hun kareeb woh badti hai door jaane ke liye...

Ab yehi raah par shayad tujhe hai marna 'Abrar',
Gar ho koi zindagi jeeni to baad marne ke liye...
