In the bright glow of daylight, from whence has this shadow of night crept in

Just moments ago, dawn filled this place, how then has dusk overtaken it

To those blessed who surround me, their destiny brings blissful light

Oh do tell me, what have I done wrong, that only darkness is my plight

Held am I so fast into the knotted disarray of darkness and light

If sunlight wasn�t to be my destiny, alas, moonlight I had hoped might

Caught am I in such a dilemma my friends, that my eyes are shut wide open

Of the few days that remain of life, those spent, are blessedly less to come
