You're My Man, My Mighty King...Posted by : Anonymous on 09-Oct-2005 Total Views : 100 You're my man, my mighty king,
And I'm the jewel in your crown,
You're the sun so hot and bright,
I'm your light-rays shining down,
You're the sky so vast and blue,
And I'm the white clouds in your chest,
I'm a river clean and pure,
Who in your ocean finds her rest,
You're the mountain huge and high,
I'm the valley green and wide,
You're the body firm and strong,
And I'm a rib bone on your side,
You're an eagle flying high,
I'm your feathers light and brown,
You're my man, my king of kings,
And I'm the jewel in your crown.

THE POETPosted by : Sumeet Mahanti on 07-Oct-2005 Total Views : 211 Far beyond the reaches of imagination
the mind wanders to script a poem,
subtle feelings from deep within
finding expression on the work at hand
In spite of completing lyrical verses
he ceases to claim himself a poet,
cos he simply pours down instinctive flow of thoughts
which find rhythmic expressions of intense feelings
Happiness, sorrow, pain, anger, anxiety – forming the source
felt at varied points of time in life,
giving inspiration to the intense writing
filled with the touch of reality
Feelings best expressed when he goes through the experience
that life teaches at every bend, now and then,
these heart-felt moments forming the stepping-stone
for the poet to author his realistic ordeals in life !

She Walks In Beauty.like The Night!Posted by : Ripudaman Saini on 03-Oct-2005 Total Views : 121 She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

To Jane!Posted by : Ripudaman Saini on 03-Oct-2005 Total Views : 103 The keen stars were twinkling,
And the fair moon was rising among them,
Dear Jane.
The guitar was tinkling,
But the notes were not sweet till you sung them
Again.
As the moon's soft splendour
O'er the faint cold starlight of Heaven
Is thrown,
So your voice most tender
To the strings without soul had then given
Its own.
The stars will awaken,
Though the moon sleep a full hour later
To-night;
No leaf will be shaken
Whilst the dews of your melody scatter
Delight.
Though the sound overpowers,
Sing again, with your dear voice revealing
A tone
Of some world far from ours,
Where music and moonlight and feeling
Are one.

Beauty!Posted by : Ripudaman Saini on 03-Oct-2005 Total Views : 101 Have seen dawn and sunset on moors and windy hills
Coming in solemn beauty like slow old tunes of Spain:
I have seen the lady April bringing in the daffodils,
Bringing the springing grass and the soft warm April rain.
I have heard the song of the blossoms and the old chant of the sea,
And seen strange lands from under the arched white sails of ships;
But the loveliest things of beauty God ever has showed to me
Are her voice, and her hair, and eyes, and the dear red curve of her lips.
