Dear Mommy
Posted by : deepak verma on 28-Oct-2005 Total Views : 229

Dear Mommy where are you?
I can not seem to find you,
You are there I can feel you
Why don't you touch my hand.
Oh mommy please I am only
Blinded by my eyes not my heart,
I long to feel the touch you once gave
But when Johnny died and I became blind
Your heart has gone and mine lives on.
Oh mommy please get in touch with me,
Hold my hand like we use to touch
The sand of our great land.

A Mother's Love
Posted by : deepak verma on 28-Oct-2005 Total Views : 247

Mother and children
what a sight to behold.
A picture more precious
than silver or gold.

See how they snuggle
as she kisses their heads
She teaches them prayers
to say before bed.

See the love in her eyes
as she looks into their face
She knows they're a treasure
no one can replace.

She knows God above
has a plan for them all.
The work HE has started
must never be stalled.

She knows HE will give her
guidance each day.
She knows that HIS help is
one prayer away.

Thoughts Of You
Posted by : deepak verma on 28-Oct-2005 Total Views : 214

Thoughts of You
(Dad)
I thought about you today,
and my heart sank.
My eyes filled with tears.

I thought about you today,
I felt something missing,
A deep loss.

I thought about you today,
Wondered if you were well?
Wondered if you were loved!

I thought about you today,
Thought of a million why's
And so many unanswered questions.

I thought about you today.
Wondered if you knew I prayed for you.
Wondered if you even knew I cared.

I thought about you today,
And gave you to God in prayer...
I felt grief, and relief..

I thought about you today,
And realized I am my father's daughter.
May God forgive me, and lead me back
to my children.

Brother
Posted by : Mahendra B Khilari on 26-Oct-2005 Total Views : 272

Brother is a lovely word
that always brings to mind
memories of the happiest
and very warmest kind!
through of bring memories
through each passing year,
you've been the kind of brother
who's especially sweet and dear.
If you could read my heart
then you would surely see
with every day that passes by
you mean still more to me.

Mom's Love
Posted by : Mahendra B Khilari on 26-Oct-2005 Total Views : 258

Umer Bhar Seene Se Laga Kar Pala Hai Maa Ne
Ghalat Batoon Pe Thora Thora Mara Hai Maa Ne

Abhi Tak Wo Bachpane Ki Yadein Hain Baqi
Aur Wo Bachpane Ki Batein Hain Baqi

Ke Jab Mein Ne Bola Tha Maa Pehli Baar
Maa Ki Aankhon Mein Bhara Tha Kitna Pyar

Paida Huwa Tha To Kuch Nahi Tha Mein
Maa Ki Wajha Se Aaj Hoon Kya Kya Mein

Lalach To Kuch Nahi Meri Maa Ko Magar
Acha Ho Jo Dedoon Dil Tohfay Mein Agar

Maa Ko Choorte Hain Aise Kuch Log Hotay Hain
Phir Auroon Ke Liyay Wo Hamesha Sog Hotay Hain

Kuch Logoon Ke Liyay Maa Ko Choorte Nahi
Chahay Kuch Ho Jaye Moo Mortay Nahi

Maa Se Hamesha Hamein Sukh Milte Hain
Phir Bhi Us Ko Hamse Dukh Milte Hain

Kash Qurbaan Karoon Mein Sab Us Ki Sada Pe
Aur Wo Mujhe Pyar Karay Meri Issi Ada Pe

Maa Se Mujhe Meri Koi Juda Na Karay
Karoon Pyar Kissi Aur Se Khuda Na Karay

My Mother On Her Sickbed...
Posted by : Sarbjeet Singh on 21-Oct-2005 Total Views : 231

My mother on her sickbed with the lightness
and hollowness of a person
Who has already said goodbye at an airport
In the beautiful and quiet area
Between parting and takeoff.

My mother on her sickbed.
All she had in her life is now
Like empty bottles in front of the door
That will show once more with colored labels
What filled them with joy and sadness.

Her last words, Take the flowers out of the room,
She said seven days before her death,
Then she closed herself for seven days,
Like the seven days of mourning.

But even her death created in her room
A warm hominess
With her sleeping face and the cup with its teaspoon
And the towel and the book and the glasses,
And her hand on the blanket, the same
hand that felt my forehead, in childhood.
