MY WORLDPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 20-Apr-2006 Total Views : 284 It's dark, very dark
I will blow my breath and blow the darkness away
I will crumple my arms
And let my energy come to my fingertips.
I will let my energy go
That will be the sun
Then I will take a piece of darkness
And put it on the other side
Of my world
That will be night
Then I will spit
And let my spit cover half of my world
That will be the seven seas
Then I will get some clay
And make some animals
I will blow my hand
That will make life
I will make a man out of clay too
That is my world

A Special World........Posted by : Sarbjeet Singh on 07-Apr-2006 Total Views : 199 A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.
Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.
And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

LOST EXISTENCEPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 31-Mar-2006 Total Views : 168 I feel so empty;
My existence drowning
In the deep hole within me.
I am filled with love to give,
Yet somehow I'm void
Of all emotions.
Looks like I'm drained,
Drained of my power to love,
To love and keep.
I'm scared. I shiver at the sight of love.
I run away from my fears.
My fears of loss and abandonment.
I drive her away, yet I want her close by.
But time waits for no one, she goes away.
I feel empty.
I am lost without her.
I have forgotten her love.
She has forgotten my name.
She has crossed the lands.
I see her no more; faceless.
I shed tears, they turn to ice.
I bleed of hot lava.
I feel strange, I feel alone.
I'm surrounded with familiar faces,
But none can fill the void.
Not even her anymore.

Ten Thousand Texas RangersPosted by : Sarbjeet Singh on 29-Mar-2006 Total Views : 155 Ten Thousand Texas Rangers
Written in March, 1917, at the time when Germany proposed
to Mexico that they retake the "lost provinces" of
Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
Ten thousand Texas Rangers are laughin' fit to kill
At the joke of the German Kaiser, an' his fierce, imperious will --
For he sez, sez he, to the Mexican boob, hidin' behind his beard,
"Old Uncle Sam is an easy mark, or so I've always heerd --
"Go up and take his cattle, and take a state or two, --
Texas, New Mexico, Arizone -- don't stop before you're through;
For we shall make war together, and together make peace," he said,
Now ain't it a joke -- so easy-like -- as easy as makin' bread!
Now if he had wanted a gun-man, he could n't have chose a worse,
For Pancho Villa has gor more knack in fixin' a man for the hearse,
And if he had though that a gun-man could swipe that piece of earth,
He should 'a' remembered we got the trick of handlin' a gun from birth!
Ten thousand Texas Rangers are shakin' with wicked glee
At the joke of the German Kaiser in his fierce perplexity;
They are bustin' their buttins with laughin', they are laughin' fit to kill --
"By Gawd," sez they, "But that's one on him, by Gawd, that's one on Bill!"

Wings To FlyPosted by : Sumona Das on 27-Mar-2006 Total Views : 210 If I had wings to fly
I'd breathe in deep
and spread them wide
as I leap from the cliff
into the wind
where the gulls glide.
Crossing this wide sea
I glide above cruel waves
that reach up to drown my flight
in their cold
deep
blue-green graves.
And as your day grows slowly light
I'd arrive on worn-out wings
to hold you
in your waking dreams
and feel you soft
and gently warm
in my embrace at last.

MY NEW COMPUTERPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 25-Mar-2006 Total Views : 173 We have bought a new computer
that's the fastest ever seen.
It has terabytes of memory
and a forty-eight inch screen.
It has all the latest gizmos
and accessories galore.
It has every last peripheral
they carried at the store.
It has disk drives by the dozen
it has twenty-seven mice,
and it even has a microwave
included in the price.
It can teach you how to mambo.
It can play the violin.
It can calculate the distance
from Botswana to Berlin.
It can speak in seven languages
with scholarly finesse,
then defeat the world's grandmasters
in a tournament of chess.
It can conjure anti-gravity,
or build a time machine.
Our computer is undoubtedly
the fastest ever seen.
When we went and bought it yesterday
we thought it pretty neat,
but today our new computer
is already obsolete.
