Hell is full of folks like you
Each one has cursed and died
Go on and curse - there’re blessings too

She’s like an abused piece of clothing
With moth holes and stains
Years of neglect fades her coloring
It’s easy to tell she was beautiful once,
A true work of art
But through you,
She’s become so ugly
That she’s an embarrassment.
You could tell, with material like that,
She was fragile,
Not made to withstand torture
Which made her a perfect target.
You pounced eagerly,
Like a vulture on its prey.
Taking your time,
You slowly broke her, faded her
Until she was too weak and hideous to go anywhere else
Congratulations, you’ve succeeded in your task
Stand back and take a look at your work
You’ve unraveled her
She’s come undone.

Tied together,
I thought we would last
Forever.
I thought we would walk down the isle together,
Hand in hand.
I thought we could never leave each other,
I thought that you said
For life.
I thought that you wanted
To live happily ever after.
I thought that my life was great,
That I was going to spend
It with the one I wanted.
I thought that my dedication
Would be returned.
I thought you would care
As I did.
I thought that you wouldn't walk out,
That I'd always have you there.
I thought that someday,
We'd buy a house,
Maybe have a kid or two,
And live together.
Where have these thoughts escaped to?
These pointless thoughts,
As I see them now,
Are all I really had.

These untruths.
To make me think I had something,

Sweet, wonderful pain, inevitable suffering
Tell me dear friend why have you brought these feelings to my heart?

The summer of my life is nearly over
The flowers once in full bloom are now wilting,
Slowly reclining their once glorious heads-

The autumn season will soon set in
To give my days the autumnul scent of sadness
And the flavour of things past-

And yet these unexpected and wonderful feelings
Never before felt, never sought
Are here haunting my last summer days,
Pouring hot, burning tears over the last flowers of my youth-

With effort they now lift their reclining heads
and look up towards the unfriendly sky to ask why
But tears and sadness remains their only reply

There's no one there to give comfort or soothe,
No one here to understand or approve
Not even you my dear friend
So close and yet unmoved-

Tell me please what I am to do?
Will this be the last memory of my youth?
The shadow of this pain which has drawn a cross
That I find so very hard to carry?
