Trust The LordPosted by : Rocker on 02-May-2008 Total Views : 204 Until I learned to trust the Lord
I never learned to pray
And never learned to fully trust
Til sorrow came my way
Until I felt my weakness
His strength I never knew
Nor dreamed, til I was stricken
that He could see me through
He who drinks deepest sorrow
Drinks deepest too of grace
od sends the storm so He, himself
Can be our resting place
His heart, who seeks our deepest goo
Knows well when things annoy
We would not yearn for Heaven
If earth held only joy

Words To PonderPosted by : Rocker on 02-May-2008 Total Views : 190 It isn't difficult to make a mountain out of a molehill,
just add a little dirt.
A successful marriage isn't finding the right person;
it's being the right person.
The mighty oak tree was once a little nut that held it's ground.
Too many people offer God prayers with claw marks all over them.
The tongue must be heavy indeed because so few people can hold it.
To forgive is to set the prisoner free, and then discover the prisoner was you.
You have to wonder about humans — they think God is dead and Elvis is alive!
You'll notice that a turtle only makes progress when it sticks out its neck…

If At First You Don’t SucceedPosted by : Rocker on 02-May-2008 Total Views : 175 Failure doesn't mean - "You are a failure,"
It means - You have not succeeded.
Failure doesn't mean - "You accomplished nothing,"
It means - You have learned something.
Failure doesn't mean - "You have been a fool,"
It means - You had a lot of faith.
Failure doesn't mean - "You don't have it,"
It means - You were willing to try.
Failure doesn't mean - "You are inferior,"
It means - You are not perfect.
Failure doesn't mean - "You've wasted your life,"
It means - You have a reason to start afresh.
Failure doesn't mean - "You should give up,"
It means - You must try harder.
Failure doesn't mean - "You'll never make it,"
It means - It will take a little longer.
Failure doesn't mean - "God has abandoned you,"
It means - God has a better way for you.

Don’t Miss OutPosted by : Rocker on 02-May-2008 Total Views : 62 The man whispered, "God, speak to me"
and a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me"
and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you"
and a star shone brightly.
But, the man did not notice.
The man shouted, "God, show me a miracle!"
And a life was born.
But, the man did not see.
So, the man cried out in dispair, "Touch me God,
and let me know you are here!"
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man….
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

The Most Beautiful FlowerPosted by : Rocker on 02-May-2008 Total Views : 53 The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read.
Beneath the long, straggly branches of an old willow tree.
Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown,
For the world was intent on dragging me down.
And if that weren't enough to ruin my day,
A young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play.
He stood right before me with his head tilted down
And said with great excitement, "Look what I found!"
In his hand was a flower, and what a pitiful sight,
With its petals all worn - not enough rain, or too little light.
Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play,
I faked a small smile and then shifted away.
But instead of retreating he sat next to my side
And placed the flower to his nose
And declared with overacted surprise,
"It sure smells pretty and it's beautiful, too.
That's why I picked it; here, it's for you."
The weed before me was dying or dead.
Not vibrant of colors: orange, yellow or red.
But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave.
So I reached for the flower, and replied, "Just what I need."
But instead of him placing the flower in my hand,
He held it mid-air without reason or plan.
It was then that I noticed for the very first time
That weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind.
I heard my voice quiver; tears shone in the sun
As I thanked him for picking the very best one.
You're welcome," he smiled, and then ran off to play,
Unaware of the impact he'd had on my day.
I sat there and wondered how he managed to see
A self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree.
How did he know of my self-indulged plight?
Perhaps from his heart, he'd been blessed with true sight.
Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see
The problem was not with the world; the problem was me.
And for all of those times I myself had been blind,
I vowed to see the beauty in life,
And appreciate every second that's mine.
And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose
And breathed in the fragrance of a beautiful rose
And smiled as I watched that young boy,
Another weed in his hand,
About to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.

Dard Kaisa Bhi Ho Ankh Nam Na KaroPosted by : Sarfaraz amani on 25-Apr-2008 Total Views : 77 Dard kaisa bhi ho ankh nam na karo
Raat kali sahi koi gham na karo
Ek sitara bano jagmagate raho
Zindagi mein sada muskurate raho
Baantni hai agar baant lo har khushi
Gham na zahir karo tum kisi per kabhi
Dil ki gehrayi mein ghum chupate raho
Zindagi mein sada muskurate raho
Ashk anmol hain kho na dena kahin
Inki her boond hai motiyoon se haseen
Inko her ankh se tum churate raho
Zindagi mein sada muskurate raho
Faasle kam karo dil milate raho
Zindagi mein sada muskurate raho
