WHAT IS THE THING THAT CALLS US WE;
THE POWER BEHIND US, IS THAT HE,
WHO IS HE, WHERE IS HE,

WHAT IS HERE, WHY IS HERE,
WHAT IS THE THING THAT MAKES US HERE,
THE NEST OCCUPIED,IS THAT FROM THERE,
WHAT IS THAT PLACE, IS HE THERE?

WHAT IS LIFE, WHY IS TO LIVE,
WHAT IS THERE BEYOND THE PHYSIQUE;
IS THERE ANYONE HAVING THAT REMOTE,
WHO IS HE, IS THERE ANY SOURCE?

WHAT IS DEATH, WHY IS TO DIE,
WHAT IS THERE BEYOND THE FLY,
IS THERE ANY SOUL, WHICH WINS AND OCCUPY,
IS IT WHAT WE SHOULD RELY?

WHAT IS TO IMAGINE, WHAT IS IMAGINATION,
WHAT IS THERE, BEYOND REALISM,
IS IT TO SURVIVE, OR IS THERE ANY DESTINATION,
IS WE HERE, FOR ANY POSSESSION?

Aaj hamaari beeti yaden hamein bahut sataati hai,
din ka chain raaton ki neenden hamaari loot jaati hai.
Ek din wo bhi tha jab mata lori hamein sunaati thi,
bhookh lagi rota dekh doodh bhi hamein pilaati thi.
Daftar se papa ghar loute baahon mein mujhe khilaate tha,
samay milte hi mujhko wey jhoole mein jhulaate tha.
Samay bita school gaye ham kitaaben hamne khoob padhi,
khel-kood sab yaden ban gayee mata lori bhool gayee.
Degree aur diploma lekar naukari ki talaash rahi,
naukari milte hi mujhko paise ki khoob chah rahi.
Ek din yaad ataa hai jab ek ladki mere paas khadi,
yaaden banke rah gayaa wo din pyaar hua vur baat badhi.
Shaadi huyee barbaad hua mein Sapne bade sanjoye tha,
Sapnon ki duniya mein khokar beete pal hi achhe tha.

"I" sang a song and gained fame.
"I" wrote the words and became a household name.
"I" invented great wonders and accepted the glories.
Oh, this "I" society and its puffed up stories!
It thinks it is free to fly,
yet in bondage it struggles to try.

"I" healed the soul, body and mind,
for you see, "I" am a special kind.
"I" built rockets and flew to the moon.
Why, "I" even developed the flowers that bloom.
Oh, this "I" society and its self-acclaimed wonders!
You well tremble, for God's wrath greatly thunders!

"I" am judge, jury and executioner of law.
Before "I" even nations tremble and fall!
Why, pray tell me, who is better than "I"?
"I", who can cast the mote from your eye.
Oh, "I", be damned and committed to hell!
For the devil's number you have and his name you spell!

Truth is, "I" created whore mongers, murderers, liars and cheats,
only to fall by the wayside, "I"-- lying in defeat.
"I"-- cannot glory in itself and claim belief,
nor out of its mire can it dredge up relief!
For all that is created, invented and healed,
the glory to God, or "I"-- won't be heavenly sealed.
