Roll On, Ye StarsPosted by : Shaveta Mahendru on 26-Dec-2005 Total Views : 155 Roll on, ye Stars! exult in youthful prime,
Mark with bright curves the printless steps of Time;
Near and more near your beamy cars approach,
And lessening orbs on lessening orbs encroach; -
Flowers of the sky! ye too to age must yield,
Frail as your silken sisters of the field!
Star after star from Heaven's high arch shall rush,
Suns sink on suns, and systems systems crush,
Headlong, extinct, to one dark center fall,
And Death and Night and Chaos mingle all!
- Till o'er the wreck, emerging from the storm,
Immortal Nature lifts her changeful form,
Mounts from her funeral pyre on wings of flame,
And soars and shines, another and the same.

SeaPosted by : Shaveta Mahendru on 26-Dec-2005 Total Views : 145 It keeps eternal whisperings around
Desolate shores, and with its mighty swell
Gluts twice ten thousand Caverns, till the spell
Of Hecate leaves them their old shadowy sound.
Often 'tis in such gentle temper found,
That scarcely will the very smallest shell
Be moved for days from where it sometime fell,
When last the winds of Heaven were unbound.
Oh ye! who have your eyeballs vexed and tired,
Feast them upon the wideness of the Sea;
Oh ye! whose ears are dinned with uproar rude,
Or fed too much with cloying melody--
Sit ye near some old Cavern's Mouth and brood,
Until ye start, as if the sea nymphs quired!

StarPosted by : Shaveta Mahendru on 26-Dec-2005 Total Views : 133 Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art---
Not in lone splendor hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors---
No---yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillowed upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel forever its soft fall and swell,
Awake forever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever---or else swoon to death.

LostPosted by : Ripudaman Saini on 26-Sep-2005 Total Views : 283 Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you,
If you leave it you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

Living Without YouPosted by : Shreejana Shahi on 13-Dec-2005 Total Views : 187 I keep looking in all the places,
Where you are supposed to be.
But I never seem to find you,
And you’re all I long to see.
I just can’t seem to understand,
What it was that changed your mind.
All this time I thought I knew you,
When really, I was blind.
But know that I do not hate you,
And I know I never will.
Because I cared about you then,
And I cared about you still.
Even though you hurt me,
I can’t seem to let you go.
But I will go on without you,
And I want to make sure you know.
It will take some time to mend,
The damage that you’ve done.
But broken hearts do heal,
That’s where strength comes from.
For now, the tears may be falling,
And my thoughts keep circling to you.
But soon, things will get better,
If you have hope, then they always do.
