Paradise LostPosted by : Ajit Hari Sahu on 29-Aug-2005 Total Views : 135 The small dark rooms,
And the great halls,
Are just alike,
That stole my sunny days,
Never to return back even once.
Angry and worn-out,
A mere bundle of bones,
I lie here,
Fallen and grief stricken.
Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost
Wines, fish and food,
I loved them most,
And a good sleep to my heart's desire,
And I thought no more.
The curse of the immoral days,
Burn me right day and night,
The greatest treasure of my youth,
I lost them mid-way.
My gray days make me sore,
And I look at the rising sun,
The only fabric of my hope,
That reassures me with radiant warmth.
I believe it is not just a ball of fire,
But a most splendid thing,
Absolutely generous,
That glorifies the earth,
With all its skill.
Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost
It is real love affair like,
And I watch it flourish,
Day-time, at dawn and dusk,
Bringing a heavenly religious order.
I hear the birds chirp,
I see the grassy lands and the cattle,
The butterflies, the roses and the tulips,
The magnificence is unbelieving.
It is all so wonderful,
Everything is bewitching,
The excellence of seasons,
The glory of rains,
The blossom of the spring-time,
It is all so awesome.
I wish I were young again,
And go to woods or distant seas,
And watch the sunset over those hills,
Sitting under a grove of trees,
And never be stupid again,
Even if I lived only for a day.

Quick ChangePosted by : Ajit Hari Sahu on 29-Aug-2005 Total Views : 102 I am a clever animal -
My summer name is STOAT,
And when the sun is warm and bright,
I wear a nice brown coat.
But when the wintry days return,
And all the trees are bare,
I change my colour, and my name -
And Mr Stoat's not there!
I've changed to Mr ERMINE,
And my coat's a lovely white.
You wouldn't see me in the snow,
But I'm a handsome sight.
It isn't easy to remember
That I've not one name, but two,
But it's nice to have a change of clothes -
What do other creatures do?

On The Wings Of A MemoryPosted by : deepak verma on 28-Aug-2005 Total Views : 157 On the wings of a memory I saw a vision of you there,
With rainbows in your eyes and heaven's light in your hair.
I reached for your hand just one more touch,
Is it asking for a miracle is it asking too much?
I feel your presence on the wind I smell you on the rain,
Just one more time to have your laughter ease the pain.
To see that wonderful little grin on your face,
To have your smile light up even the darkest place.
If it were possible, I'd pray you back home with the dawn,
But then again, on the wings of my memories you're not really gone.

Fancy DancerPosted by : deepak verma on 26-Aug-2005 Total Views : 125 Can I tell you something
Please don’t laugh
But I think you’re amazing
Amazing in many ways
I sit next to you
Barely even noticing me
I want to let you know
That you’ve had my heart
Five years I think its been
Since that day
I saw you walk by
At that Labor Day Pow-Wow
Dressed in your regalia
Hair in braids
Thinking of that song
And the beat of the drum
Singing out loud
To get you in the mood
Checking out your competition
Determined to win
So smooth
So quick
So beautiful
As I sit and watch you dance
Now after all this time
Things are coming to an end
Leaving me with just memories
Never getting the courage to tell you
Telling you exactly what I think of you
So goodbye my amazing Fancy dancer
Its been so long
Its just time to move on.

A Night Like ThisPosted by : deepak verma on 20-Aug-2005 Total Views : 120 It was a night like this,
I remember it like it was yesterday.
The smell in the air, and the feeling
Of being under the sky full of stars.
The night in its self set the the mood
For this special evening,
One that I would never forget.
I told you that the brightest star
Was no where to be found,
But it was right beside me
Twinkling within your eyes.
Though the moon was the light of the sky,
It was hidden behind a few clouds.
So boldy I wanted to lay you on one of them
And watch you sleep, as if I were the moon.
So many times through out the night,
I saw you as I see the the sky,
Perfect and beautiful.
The two of you fit hand in hand.
I could never have one without the other,
For I have looked to the sky to make wishes
Yet I have looked upon you and seen them come true.
We held each other closely,
Touching each other softly,
Kissing as if it were a child’s game.
The world was ours, as was the heavens.
Then it caught our eyes, it was a falling star.
As we watched we began to realize that the star
Was love and it was us that were falling.
Only moments later,
As tears flowed down your face,
We said three words.
Almost simultaneously,
We said the words "I Love You".
Do you remember?
It was a night like this.

Those Sweet DaysPosted by : Jitendra Nayak on 19-Aug-2005 Total Views : 309 The days we spent together will
not come back
The sweet things which we
shared and laughed will never
come back
My heart grows heavy that we
have a part
But your sweet memories are
always in my heart
You may forget me as the days
go by but how can I
No, never will I
We enjoyed a season of bliss
Now all that we will surely
miss
We may or may not meet
But I have hope that someday
we will meet as we pass by
Here I stand at the road's end
To have a look
Before I turn the bend
To wish you all the best my
good friend
I wish I could turn back time
And once again have you as
mine
Friend you are really very
sweet
Goodbye till we once again
meet
