Cradle Me !Posted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 06-Apr-2006 Total Views : 149 One night long ago,
I lay down upon my bed,
a terrible aloneness filling heart and head.
So weeping softly, quietly I began to pray,
"Oh, Father, if only in this moment, this day,
like a babe you would cradle me in your arms,
to soothe away all my alarms.
And He did. He did!
Oh, praise the Lord, He answered as I bid!
At once that long ago,
I felt a deep measure of His care
and His abiding love so willing to share.
Then I knew… I'd never been a lone.
It had just been Satan's ill wind blown,
intended to toss me from a righteous path,
his evil game rewarded by God's wrath.
Oh, praise the Lord, He answered as I bid!
For then I knew, from me He'd never hid.
And since that time long ago,
I've not felt again as a cradled babe,
yet each time I stumble, He fails not to save.
So I fill each day with joyous praise
As I look upon His creation with a loving gaze,
knowing He fulfills my every need…
If only I hear— and heed.
"Oh, Lord! In me, bind up your testimony
and seal your law
that in Christ's light, I'll be found without flaw!"
And He did as I bid!

Those 9 MonthsPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 06-Apr-2006 Total Views : 163 I often wonder
How you stood it,
Those nine months,
With me feeding
Off of you
Like a parasite
Until one day
You expelled me.
You forced me out
The way you would
Later do
Time and time
again
With a glance
Or a word
Or lack there of.
And I wonder
If even then,
Beneath your stretched
And pale skin,
I sensed
The lack of
Symbiosis
And maybe
I knew
To take
all that I could
That one day
it would be
You
Who would
Feed off of
Me

Pace OurselvesPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 05-Apr-2006 Total Views : 148 As the rain clouds wither into wisps
That is when we'll clasp our lips
The sun will put up a fight
To make sure your eyes sparkle in the light
Hope my hands will not start to tremble
My heart is not a toy to be disassembled
I can remember the memories that were lost
Oh no way will it ever be at my cost
I know you know walking down this shrinking path
That we must fit in atleast one more laugh
The sheer beauty of your voice melts the sun
Please this time let us not run

Reflections Of The SunPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 01-Apr-2006 Total Views : 152 The blossoming themes of bright colours,
They rise like the morning sun
on a spring day,
On sunbeams they ride in
and nourish my thirsting thoughts;
Like roses they unfold
and spread delicate beauty;
reflecting light from the horizon.
Trough the day
capturing photon after photon;
growing inner light.
Evening,
when darkness rains from above;
my flowers shine their brightest
and inner light
spreads upon the world.

Word Of HopePosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 01-Apr-2006 Total Views : 170 A word of hope to those of you
Who try and try but never get your due
Channel your thoughts and all of your strength
To do the job the way it was meant
For one can see and you must agree
That deadwood will always be
In time you'll get a helping hand
So you must learn the tree will bend
Don't let them break you, stand your ground
No matter who they send to hound
This is easy for me to say
Because I've already had my day

Untitled EpiphanyPosted by : Tanay Kumar Das on 31-Mar-2006 Total Views : 139 What's in a name? she hathaway of asking.
At the mere utterance of your name
my stomach chruns with acidic bile,
my heart palpitates at an anxious pace,
my thoughts, finally free are chained once again when those syllables enter
my mind which becomes flooded one more time by the memory
of you.
Memories of the innocent love we shared and the agony that resulted when you ripped yourself out of my life.
So what's in a name?
More than I care to recall.
