They say that on the east side
there is a fountain.
And if you throw a coin in...
You can have any wish...
And find a thing that you believe in.
But such a concept is hard for me...
That the cost of a wish...
For any greater being
would be worth that of a penny.

God told Eve to stay away from the
fruit in the center of the perfect
world he created...
And Zeus told Pandora not to open up the tiny golden
box given to her by the gods.
Good stories sure...but when you look at them.
And both knew what telling them not
to would result to...
Almost makes you wonder why they bother at all.

It's Christmas time again, my one true weakness...
For each year I search to see if the joy
has returned...
Yet I notice the snowflakes...
Are only just ice crystals and I
see that in the world...
There is no magic to observe.
It's only just stories...
And pretty lights one could buy anywhere.
All this now that I've passed the eve of my birth...
And yet, I could swear that I once remembered...
A joy that glowed and stars in the air.

Remember, too, the holy month of fasting.
Absorb the word of God like burning sand.
Make yourself through prayer a single yearning,
A single breath of faith, a single turning,
Dawn to dusk a diamond in God's hand.
A moment of pure faith is everlasting,
Nor need one know aught else to understand.

So remember, don't miss out on a blessing because it
isn't packaged the way that you expect.
Take notice of the blessings around you.

So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know
you are here." Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on

And, the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle."
And, a life was born.
But the man did not know.

The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you."
And the stars shined brightly.
But the man did not notice
