Believe

Jesus shunned the Pharisees, money changers and scribes
Caabah's idol breaker, history Mohammed describes
Black stone and the cross replaced what once was gold
As though people need an image to them as god sold;
Unless they can imagine, visualize, touch or hold
No matter what prophets say, the masses true ways scold,
They do not want to believe in an unimagined god
They worship a rock or wood, make a symbol of cod.

Even in our modern times, idols of old age
Have been scoffed and gone, treated with outrage
But we are still lacking in believing in god
Cunning idols of our time have replaced stone, wood and cod
Rampant formulism, raging materialism
In our heart and mind install cynicism;
We worship fame and wealth, run away with fear
Security, money, commitment, all we hear
Yet in no real way anyone's getting near
To the unimaginable that we all hold so dear.

Multitudes in any place, or any time they live
Simply do not believe, but believe that they believe.

Lost Child
Lost ChildWith uplifted arms I pray
God all knowing, show me Thy way
Make me a channel of Thy light
Bring to this earth much delight
And help me strive to love like Thee
And through wisdom, other gods flee.
Break the illusion, clearly see
And try to live my destiny.
Oh God help me know forever Thee
Are close to me, with me, in me.

Lost Child

Lost Child

After searching night and day
After much toil and much pray
A mother found her lost child
Her tears much, her joy wild
A mighty sigh of relief
Thus she ended her grief.
Else she would forever seek
Till at her child have a peek.

If we are children of God
Then surely we are allowed
To be lost, and then found
Let God's arms us surround.
There's no shame in being lost
But to be found, is a must;
For God, our mother, will seek
To find us safe, although weak,
Then in her wild embrace
We will find a new place.
Union for sure is ahead
Perhaps alive, perhaps dead.

How Can I Say What Is Too Much For Words
Posted by : Arti Agarwal on 17-Nov-2005 Total Views : 159

How can I say what is too much for words?
A rainbow cannot fit into my heart.
Perhaps we should be musical as birds
Perched singing of our love with practiced art.
You cannot taste my happiness, or feel
A little of the chill of your caress.
No word or metaphor can make it real,
Nor song contain the truth I would express.
In my love there are mountains miles high,
Valleys rainbow carpeted, and wide
Enough for clear, still lakes to steal the sky ...
R-R-R-R!!! I cannot tell you what's inside!
So you must turn to what you feel for me,
And read therein my tender rhapsody.
Reach deep, my love, and I will be there, too:
You have me in your heart, as I have you.

Khwaab Hai

Tere honton Ki Hasi Banane ka Khwab hai,
Tere Aagosh main Simat Jane Ka Khwab Hai,
Tu Lakh Bacha Le Daman Ishq K Hathon,
Aasma Ban Kar Tuj Par Cha Jane Ka Khwab Hai,
Ajmayish Yu To Acchi Nahi Hoti Ishq ki,
Tu Chahe To Teri Takderr Banane Ka Khwab Hai,
Wo Maut Bhi Laut Jaye Tere Darwaje Pe Aa Ke,
Tuj Ko Aisi Zindgi Dene Ka Khwab Hai,
Je Bhi Lenge Agar Jina Pada Tera Bina,
Lakin Tuj Par To Mar Mitne Ka Khwab Hai....!

My Destiny
Posted by : deepak verma on 28-Oct-2005 Total Views : 148

I’ve loved and lost so many times,
My heart could stand no more.
And just when I thought I’d not find love,
There you were, knocking at the door.

I struggled, should I let him in?
Should I risk the pain?
But, oh how right it felt this time,
I had everything to gain.

So I took a chance and laid my heart
Bare, open, for you to see.
God answered my fervent prayers, I thought,
This is the one for me.

I can’t describe the joy I feel,
Just being by your side.
And the intensity of my love for you
Is something I cannot hide.

Your touch, your kiss, your warm embrace,
They thrill my very soul,
With so much joy and happiness,
My life is now made whole!

Your voice, it soothes me, makes me smile,
Is music to my ears.
And when I’m wrapped up in your arms,
It takes away my fears.

I questioned God, "Why take so long
To bring my love around?
Why was it not many years ago
That love such as this I found?"

I heard him gently say, "My child,
You had so much to learn,
Before you could appreciate,
That for which you yearned.

You had to grow and realize,
On Me you could depend,
To provide for you your every need,
Before your pain could end.

Please understand, my heart it ached,
To see you suffer, dear.
I had to turn away each time,
You shed another tear.

But with each broken heart, you see,
You’ve learned so very much.
And now you’re ready for this love,
Your tender heart to touch."

I thought about the things He spoke
Unto my heart right then,
And realized He was so right,
To send you now, not then.

For now I can appreciate,
You so much more, my love.
And I know deep within my soul,
You were sent from Him above.

To share my life, my hopes, my dreams,
My laughter and my tears,
As I will share yours, too as we,
Walk softly through the years.

Now every night as I lay down,
And pray to Him above,
I say a special prayer of thanks,
For giving me your love.
