Singing at the center of your soul,
Long may you dance across your inner stage,
Regarding neither rectitude nor rage,
Pursuing neither destiny nor goal.
Suffering is nothing but the road:
You, the traveler, are sheer delight,
A little wisp of lovely, lilting light
Torn from a joy that pain cannot corrode.

Be, then, whatever person time will tell.
Do what reason and the heart deem good.
Take whatever will or fortune would,
Always west of heaven, east of hell.

Within, you are more beautiful than you
Can ever comprehend, though you can feel
A wonder and a passion that are real,
Wandering like a wind through what you do.

Look into the inner realms of the soul
and you find the Almighty present right there,
looking upon you to come to him for all answers
with open arms and a heart flowing with unlimited forgiveness


Look deep inside your numerous sorrows
and you find HIS plans laid down,
for the future comings – blessed by HIS soul
every incident in life touched by the heavenly hand

Look deep inside every happiness granted
that comes with a purpose so explicit,
induced by Karmic actions justly done
over a lifetime of achievement and failures

Look into the depth of every failure faced
and you can find HIM consoling you – touching you,
with a divine embrace and a magnanimous heart
with a message of a higher purpose – for future success in sight !

She Was A Phantom of Delight !
As he saw her at first glance she seemed
a complete picture of glowing radiance;
Her face a halo of delight;
radaint,bright-like the moon!
Her walk-a poet's delight
causing enough to stir as water is when a pebble dropped;
her tresses flowing down
like ripples on riverbank
caused by the reflecting moon !
She was a phantom of delight !
However little did he know ,
that glitter at distance is often a mirage at hand !
And when he did find out reality
it was too late....it was all a mirage !

Speeding through the highway on my car
I savour the beauty of nature on either side;
Greenery all around- meadows on both ends,
I enter a county filled with silence

Meandering through aisles of parked cars,
My mind is transported to the cozy bed that lies ahead
When the serenity of my trance is broken
By the resounding thud on the side of my car

Screeching to a halt to examine the situation,
anger filling deep into my soul
I see a small boy coming upto me unflinched-
Carrying innocence in the eyes – the fuming ceasing within me

Gathering myself – enquiring the reason for the brusque intrusion,
In response – the boy holding my fingers leads me into an ally;
Pointing to his elder brother who tied to a wheel-chair
Lies sprawled on the road – overturned by a speeding car

Empty is my heart as I hear from the infant
Who needing help to lift his brother up –
Had ceaselessly tried to stop each speeding car – but in vain
Finding no other means – resorting to stoning – to stop a soul – for help

So moved is my soul that I can barely see through my moist eyes
as I pick up his brother putting the overturned chair on steady feet
helping both to reach their homes where anxious parents await
Humbled I return from the scene to continue my journey-
A message clearly etched in my heart with permanence-

The boy teaching me how God communicates through various means
Whether in whispers or through a stone hurled at us to cease our speed of life-
It is for us to lend our ears to the Voice above – to respond
Cos it is the Almighty seeking Divine Communion !

Nothing as powerful as the mind
it’s material manifestations- all a state of the mind,
problems galore in life’s inevitable struggles
opening your third eye – the source you find

Nothing as ever-encompassing as the mind
which if nourished with the right ingredients,
opening the door to the search for truth
that reveals the source behind life’s numerous bends

Nothing as soul-touching as the mind
it’s true nature when awakened within,
opening the path to the eternal meaning of life
removing all stress-stricken elements – in the past seen

Nothing as holistic as the mind
of floating feelings of fear and guilt,
in the ritual of confession – a precursor of the psychiatrist’s couch
the mantra of the mind – powerful to the hilt
