After obtaining his MS in General Surgery and MCh in plastic surgery from the University of Bombay, and undergoing intensive training in reconstructive surgery from the Tata Memorial Hospital Bombay, Dr. Tibrewala, pursued his primary interest and did his fellowship in cosmetic surgery from one of the Premier institutes in Paris, France. This well rounded and comprehensive training under some of the best plastic surgeons in India and abroad has equipped him to handle all aspects of plastic surgery with equal dexterity, though his forte remains cosmetic surgery. He has been in private practice in Bombay since 1989. He is an attending consultant in some of the most prestigious hospitals in Bombay and Goa including PD Hinduja National Hospital, Saifee Hospital, Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Asian Heart Institute, Breach Candy Hospital and Apollo Victor Hospital, Goa. He travels extensively attending workshops and updating his skills.

Dr. Tibrewala has amongst his clients a large number of people in showbiz and the world of glamour.
Although his primary field of interest is cosmetic surgery, Dr. Tibrewala regularly abandons his familiar world of glamour . Thrice a year for the last 15 years he goes into the interior of India and Africa , to conduct free plastic surgery camps,sponsored by the Lions, Rotary and Jaycees clubs, for the poor and needy. “They are food for my soul” he says.In these camps, some of them in collaboration with medical teams from Germany, he treats hundreds of poor patients needing essential plastic surgery. Acepting no compensation whatsoever, he donates all gifts to the sponsoring club.
When asked about his celebrity clients, Dr. Tibrewala smiles depreciatingly and says”every patient of mine is a celebrity to me”.
His honest, straightforward and humane approach coupled with his vast experience and technical expertise make Dr. Tibrewala one of the most sought after cosmetic and plastic surgeons in India.
