Dr. Walia's Skin and Laser Clinic is being run by Dr. Parmjit Singh Walia. Dr. Walia did his MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Amritsar (Punjab, India) in 1992-97 batch. He completed his MD in Dermatology, Venerology and Leprology in 2001. He has been a regular participant of many regional and national conferences as well as international workshops.

He started his career by serving the society as Medical Officer In-charge of Aid Awareness Group for truckers at Amritsar (Punjab, India) where he was responsible for making them aware of and treat various sexually transmitted diseases along with HIV. During his tenure at AAG (Aids Awareness Group), Dr. Walia developed keen interest in the field of dermatology and venerology and joined Guru Nanak Dev Hospital at Amritsar (Punjab,India) as a Resident in the department of dermatology. He worked on various projects for three yrs in that Department. He took keen interest in the field of cosmetology and dermato-surgery.

After this tenure, he did voluntary services in the under developed areas in Tarn Taran for six months. Thereafter he joined Fortis Multispeciality Hospital in Mohali (near Chandigarh, India) as Consultant Dermatologist in April 2002 and also started his own practice under the name of Dr Walia's skin clinic at Mohali. The desire to serve the underserved areas is so strong in him that he finds time to visit the underserved areas in Sirhind, Morinda and 34 Sector Gurdwara at Chandigarh once a week. He has come a long way in the field of cosmetology by adding the facility of permanent hair removal, facial rejuvenation by ND-YAG laser, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency, chemical peels at his clinic. He keeps on attending various national and International conferences in Cosmetology to keep himself updated in the latest developments in the field. By installing this laser, he has joined the elite club of dermatologists in India who have this facility in their clinic which was till now being handled by non dermatologists in some beauty clinics. This has benefited not only the local residents but has also proved beneficial for NRIs who are availing this facility at economical rates as compared to their own countries.
