A pass out from S D Public School, Muzaffarnagar, Dr Garg completed his MBBS from Seth G S Medical College and K.E.M hospital, Mumbai (1996) followed by Diploma in Medical Radiodiagnosis from Grant Medical College and Sir J J Group of Hospitals, Mumbai (2000). He acquired a Diplomate in National Board (DNB) in 2002. As a senior resident and then as a fellow in interventional radiology, he gained immensely from the knowledge and experience of leading Interventional Radiologists in Mumbai. Following this he worked as a lecturer in interventional Radiology in K.E.M Hospital (2003). Later as a lecturer for 4 and half years in Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Hospital, Mumbai, he has had an extremely successful tenure at these twin institutions, taking the hospitals interventional radiology programme to great heights while he was there. He was at Fortis Hospital, Mohali for brief period as an attending consultant. Dr Garg has vast experience of performing both elective and emergency endovascular and non vascular procedures, with rich expertise in percutaneous management of peripheral and visceral artery aneurysms, gastrointestinal bleeding, gynecological and obstetric vascular emergencies, and various types of hepatobiliary and venous diseases. He is a member of ISVIR (Indian society of vascular and interventional radiology) and is peer reviewer of international medical journals. Dr. Garg is actively involved in research, presentation of papers and exhibits at various scientific meets and has more than 20 publications in national and international medical research journals to his credit. He is a vastly experienced trainer of postgraduate students and is actively involved with many workshops at regional and national level to spread awareness about interventional radiology practices
