The District of Mirzapur lies between the parallels of 23.52 & 25.32 North latitude and 82.7 and 83.33 East longitude. It forms a portion of the Vindhyachal Division. On the north and north-east it is bounded by the Varanasi district; on the south bounded by district Sonbhadra. On the south west by the district of Allahabad. The shape to the north and west is some what irregular. In no direction, except for about 13 km in the north east where the Ganga separates the Tehsil of Chunar from the district of Varanasi, has Mirzapur a natural frontier.

District Muzaffarnagar
Muzaffar Nagar is located at northern part of Uttar Pradesh. The district of Muzaffarnagar forms a portion of division Saharanpur, and situated in the DOAB of the Ganges and the Jamuna, between the districts of Meerut on the south and Saharanpur on the north. On the west, the Jamuna separates it from the Panipat and Thaneswar tehsil of the Karnal district of Haryana; and on the east the river Ganges forms the boundary between this district and the Bijnor tehsil of the district of same name. It is roughly rectangular in shape, lying between north latitude 29º 11' 30'' and 29º 45' 15" and east longitude 77º 3' 45" and 78º 7'. The greatest length of district from east to west is sixty-one miles, and its greatest breadth from north to south thirty-six miles. The average length and breadths are about fifty-three and thirty-one miles, respectively. The total area in 2000 amounted to 4049 sq km. The district is well connected by road and railway network. NH-58 passes through Muzaffarnagar city. Upper Ganga & Lower Yamuna canal lie in this district.
District Moradabad
Moradabad, the City of Brass, is famous for Handicrafts, Artistic Brass Products, Brass & EPNS wares, Horn/Bone Handicraft since ancient times. This city is situated in western U.P. between 28°-21´ to 28°-16´ Latitude North and 78°- 4´ to 79 Longitude East. Presently it is an Administrative, Industrial and Commercial city. After the establishment of Divisional Commissioner Office, its importance and status has further been elevated. This city lies on NH 24 from traffic and transport point of view and is a main Railway Station, also Divisional Headquarters of Northern Railways, on Hawra and Amritsar main line. It is very well connected with main cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Bareilly, Patna, Haridwar, etc. by both rail and road transport. Ramganga river flows in the north east and Ganga river is there in south west of the city. Being situated on the main railway line and National Highway, Moradabad city has bright prospects of development. Industrial and commercial development has taken place at a fast pace because the raw material becomes easily available to the city and manufactured goods are easily exported. Primarily the Economy of the Moradabad District is Agrarian based while the Economy base of Moradabad city is Small Scale Cottage industry, Commerce & Trade. Major crops are Paddy, Wheat, Sugar cane & Mustard. There is a network of Agro based industries namely Rice & Dal Processing Units and a large no. of Gur & Khandsari Units. Over 15000 Small Scale Industry Units are spread all over the District having more concentration on Urban cities - Moradabad & Sambhal. Moradabad city is famous for the Brass Metal Handicrafts and exports to the tune of Rs. 2200 Crores on yearly basis. A good no. of Artisans are also engaged in home manufacturing of Horn and Bone handicrafts articles in Sambhal. About 12 lakh metric tons of food grain, 10 thousand metric tons of oil seeds, 90 lakh metric tons of sugar cane & 2.6 lakh metric tons of potatoes are annually produced here and a major part of it is exported to other districts of the state and out of the state.
