'Bhoothnath' is just a wee bit scary, amply funny, and more than generously melodramatic film. The film is debut of Vivek Sharma as director. The film is touching in the parts where it explores the relationship that develops between a ghost and a little child. The debutant director does a good job in his first outing at the box office. He has Teamed up two superstars Amitabh Bachchan & Shah Rukh Khan in his directorial debut Bhootnath which is as good as impossible.
'Bhoothnath' is the story of a ghost inside a swanky, neglected, uninhabited house in Goa. The ghost named Kedarnath is in limbo, and he won't let anyone live inside the house, Nath Villa, to which his fond memories are attached. But then comes a family of Banku (Aman Sidiqqui), his kitchen-shy mom (Juhi Chawla) and slap-happy dad ( Shah Rukh Khan ) to live in the house.
The ghost has the plan of scaring the family away. But he runs into the notorious nine-year-old Banku who mistakes the ghost as an angel and befriends him.
Thereby begin the funny antics of Banku and Bhoothnath. With a mere flick of his finger, Bhoothnath is able to do magical feats, and more so willingly at Banku's command.
The story seems to go in circles as the film focuses on the adventures of the kid and the ghost until Bhoothnath's past catches up with him. Thereon, the tongue-in-cheek humour of the film wisps out of the plot and melodrama comes in, and the movie becomes a tearjerker, though just partly effective.
For most parts, Bhootnath is aimed at the kids. The portions in the classroom/school, the interaction with the school principal [Satish Shah], the game of one-upmanship between the kids brings the kid out of you. It is a film which has a few lovely moments, some touching and some funny. In all, the package is quite endearing. But it would be a mistake to think of the film as a film only about and for children. It's only the first half that will appeal to both children and adults alike. From the second half onwards, the film takes a very Hindi filmy turn as it is packed with emotions about unfaithful sons and their ilk.
The life of the film is definitely, the child artiste, Aman Siddique who plays the role of Banku, and Amitabh Bachchan, in the role of Bhootnath. Bachchan puts in an endearing performance as Bhootnath and receives good support from the rest of his cast. He is great as the fun loving old ghost as well as the bitter, angry father. Aman Siddique as the cherubic Banku, does a fairly good job and matches the Big B, for scene. Juhi Chawla is in excellent form as Banku's mother. Satish Shah as the tiffin stealing principal is quite funny in his cameo. Priyanshu Chatterjee impresses in his role as Bhootnath's penitent son.
On the whole Bhootnath is an extremely likeable and enjoyable film. It has some lovely moments and is extremely touching in places. And Director Vivek Sharma is to be lauded for making a good debut.

movie is good why low rating really not understandable
Movie is good for children and even for adults to enjoy and take some message.Everyone must watch.
All actors have performed nicely their role. Amitabh and Child Artist both have done very good acting.
If Producer or director wants to pass social message to public through movie it is observed generally critics will not favour such movie. But this movie will be successful and I wish its success. what has been shown in the movie is actually the facts that are often noticed in today's society.
Any one getting opportunity to go abroad is hardly interested to return back there are many cases, where people have migrated to abroad and they are least bothered of their parents and this movie definately will make such people realise about this fact.
