Have you encountered true love? Has it come to you, just unannounced, went away and then come back again? And what if it wouldn't have come back to you? Would life have been the same ever again?
Ankush [Abhay Deol] and Megha [Soha Ali Khan] never knew that they may come across such a juncture in their lives that they would be required to face each of these questions! That's because their coming together was highly unanticipated and unannounced. Everything just happened.....ahista ahista!
The two were poles apart. They had never met before in life. Well, why just meeting each other, they were not even in love with each other! While Megha had already devoted herself completely to Dheeraj [Shayan Munshi], Ankush was a content and simple young man who was happy earning a few hundreds a day while standing up as a witness for young couples looking forward to getting married at Delhi's marriage registrar's bureau.
One find day even Megha paid a visit there. Reason? She was promised marriage by Dheeraj and hence had run all the way from her hometown Nainital to be with her lover. Dheeraj being a manipulator who was never serious in his love for Megha didn’t turn up at the bureau hence shattering all dreams of Megha. A girl for whom everything depended upon her living together with Dheeraj, she had nowhere to go.
Until she was spotted by Ankush.....
A kind hearted person he was, Ankush became her pillar of support and though she was apprehensive at the beginning, she soon realized his true self. With completely unselfish intentions, Ankush helped her find a job at an age old house in Delhi itself and made her self sufficient. Meanwhile he too started picking up more work in his spare time and became a bank representative whose job was to help people open their banking accounts.
Gradually things started improving for both Megha and Ankush. While Megha grew in confidence, realized her true potential and started erasing Dheeraj's love from her life, Ankush too became confident of his worth and grew in his field to get a lucrative offer from a leading bank to join as an Assistant Manager. Though he was a little apprehensive to take up such a job due to his lack of exposure to the corporate world, Megha pegged him to go for the opportunity.
While the personalities and professional skills of the two grew with their association, a special something started happening in their hearts too. A feeling of togetherness, caring and being indispensable for each other started growing. And all of this happened without each other knowing about it...ahista ahista!
But is life always so simple? As destiny would have decided for the two, they had a test to face! A test that would now decide how much the two had found each other, how much did they depended upon each other and how relevant were the relationships in the past for them!
The test was to face Dheeraj who had now returned and wanted to woo back Megha!
What would Megha do? Will she choose the love for which she was once willing to loose everything or embrace the love that had given her everything?
What would Dheeraj do? Will he be selfish enough to try and get back the love he deserted earlier or allow Megha to be with her new found love?
What would Anksuh do? Will he allow the one he loved so much to go back in the arms of the one who was her first love?
Come and find it all out in this film by debutant director Shivam Nair that is written by Imtiaz Ali [who earlier directed Abhay's launch film 'Socha Na Tha']. Boasting of an excellent music by Himesh Reshammiya, the film releases coming Friday i.e. August 18th.

Ahista ahista is the an OK Movie. Neither Too bad Nor Too Good.An avergae love story which will AHISTA AHISTA give you an impression that this movie is very much familiar, You aren't able to come to a conclusion as to which love story it resembles. It's a Mixture of i am unable to recall which one's. The theme being that love happens Slowly Slowly and so Ahista Ahista is the Title.
I didn't find anything new in this love story which i haven't seen. The boyfriend ditches the girl and this abhay deol rescues her and they fall in love Ahista Ahista and the Boyfriend returns etc.
Performance wise Soha has yet to mature a bit more to do such roles. Abhay looks good and has the potential to be a much better actor.
So it's an Average movie intersting in some parts.I wouldn't recommend you to go and watch in the cinema hall. Let it get off the Cimea Halls and Watch it on Siti Cable. Cheap and Easy !
