| Story of Unconditional Love | |
| by Shivali Bedi (posted on : 12-Nov-06) Rating: (Good) | |
| Vivah highlights the journey from engagement to marriage. It also depicts a Social Message for all the people in world who are thinking about marriage or are married and otherwise also. And that Social Message is Unconditional Love and Commitment towards your Life Partner or Would-Be-Life Partner. Shahid and Amrita really look a Great Couple and good performances from them. In today’s time Divorces are so common and so are extra Marital Affairs there is a need for showing examples where Values Like Unconditional Love and Commitment need to be Put Forth. Vivah is that Example. | |
| BORING ! | |
| by Benny Varghese (posted on : 12-Nov-06) Rating: (Poor) | |
| Vivah can be described in Exactly 6 Alphabets and that is BORING! Shahid and Amrita are really not that mature as actors to be cast in such a movie. Shahid ha a limited appeal and he's better off as a side hero, same for amrita. The songs are really not worth watching or listening. Total wastage of time. | |
| Repetitive subject. | |
| by Raghu Shetty (posted on : 12-Nov-06) Rating: (Average) | |
| Sooraj Barjatya is a man obsessed with the festivities of marriage to such an extent that his vision is limited and focused towards this aspect only. If you look at his track record his movies are very much similar. For example there is love between two individuals and there is bound to be some complication or some tragedy which is going to affect the relationship. Ultimately they are able to meet up with the odds and are able to unite in the end. Also you’ll always find Alok Nath playing a father’s role in Barjatya’s film, Is it Coincidence or What ? Barjatya should learn from J.P. Dutta who broke his repetitive subject of patriotic movies by making 'Umrao Jaan'. | |
