Movie Report
Jashnn is a film directed by two directotrs Raksha Mistry and Hasnain Hyderabadwala. The film does not have big stars, it's the story and the script that wins the heart of the viewers. This is film about a common guy who wants to become some body, some day in his life. In some ways Jashnn is like Rock On! as there is also a boy band in this film, and it also looks at relationships.
Jashnn reveals the story of Around this relationship is told the story of Akash Verma (Adhayan Suman) who hangs around with his boy band in the hope of one day hearing the applause of the audience in an open-air stadium. But though he has dreams in his heart, he is unable to find that distinctive voice that he can call his own, that will propel him to the top. He is supported by his sister Nisha (Shahana Goswami) who is the mistress of Aman Bajaj (Humayun Sayeed), an influential industrialist. Aman it is who finances the luxuries of Nisha for a price! Akash is aware of this but is a silent spectator, supporting his sister in her weak moments. Nisha is smitten by Aman but he is a married man.
Akash falls in love with Sara (Anjana Sukhani) who invites brother and sister to her house to visit her family. Call it irony or a twist of fate, but the person who sees him through this dark night and mentors him when he's down and out is none other than the sister of the person who he hates most in the world - Aman Bajaj. Sara, leaves her family and comes to live with Akash. There are poignant moments between Akash and Sara, which captures their love for each other but nothing matches the finesse with which the brother-sister relationship is established.
In the end, he not only touches his inexhaustible potential and becomes an overnight star, but also humbles his biggest detractor Aman Bajaj and in the process, lives up to the faith that his sister and Sara had in him all along.
Director duo Raksha and Hasnain have done a brilliant job. Both of then have shown dedication in their work. Music of the film is melodious as all other bhatts films. Dialogues are powerful and dipped in acid at times.
Performance wise, all the character played by four actors are superb. Adhayan Suman's performance is breathtaking. He has shown maturity in his act. Humayun Saeed is brilliant. Another performance which leaves an impression is of Shahana Goswami. She has the ability to make a dull role larger than life. Her emotions are excellent. She represents them in her voice and transfers them into her body. Anjana Sukhani is just ok. She has some wonderful moments with Adhayan.
On the whole, Jashnn is a must watch movie for youngsters. It tells inspiration, relationships, defeat and success. The story and script of the film is mind blowing and will surely be liked by the viewers.
