Movie Report
Dil Bole Hadippa directed by director Anurag Singh is Rai Mukherjee fare all the way. It has been a long time Rani has been seen on the screen. She is back with her charm and bubbly style once again. She lights up the screen everytime she comes on. Another interesting factor in this film is Cricket. Cricket, like Bollywood, is an addiction for a wide majority of Indians. Dil Bole Hadippa tries to capture the spirit of the game and the aspirations of a sportsperson, who's keen to play for her pind.

This is a story of an ordinary girl Veera [Rani Mukherjee] who lives in a small village, but chases big dreams. She is such a cricketer who can hit six sixes in an over. She works in a local theatre group, but dreams of playing cricket in the big league. She wants to play with Tendulkar and Dhoni for India.

So to make her dream come true she turns into Veer Pratap Singh, complete with a moustache and a beard to enter the selection trials for a local club. Here she runs into Rohan [Shahid Kapoor] who is an accomplished captain of a county cricket team in England and returns to India to captain his father's cricket team, which has been losing consecutively for the last 8 years.

Rohan selects Veer Pratap Singh blissfully unaware that he is a girl, falls in love with Veera, thinking she is Veer's sister, realizes his folly during the all-important match, asks her to sit out, and then, when they are nine wickets down and on the verge of losing the match to a Pakistan team, requests her to pad up. Now which team wins is rest of the story.

Acting wise, Rani Mukherjee steals the show with her powerful performance. She really delivers a sparkling performance as Veera as well as Veer Pratap Singh. Shahid's performance is fine. He does not get a substantial role as in Kaminey. Here in this film his performance goes overshadowed by Rani Mukherjee. Anupam Kher and Dalip Tahil do their part well. Poonam Dhillon is wasted. Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra have nothing to perform other than exposing. Rest of the cats is okay.

On the whole, Dil Bole Hadippa is an ordinary film. It is all about Rani's come back. This film is not an appreciable piece of work from Yash Raj Banner. It will do an average business on box-office.

Total hadippa!!!

i totally adored the movie. despite the fact that the story is from the movie 'shes the man', i enjoyed it. Shahid's and Rani's acting is good. Rani's facial expressions were off the hook. That's the main reason why this movie is so damn funny. i loved the songs and the cloths were nice too. over-roll - awesome!!

average movie ( copy of eng film)
