Imram Khan plays Rahul, an obsessive-compulsive architect who can’t tolerate anything out of place from the crease on his pants to the right amount of shine on his shoes. He falls in love with Kareena, a liaison which changes him completely, as she teaches him about life and love.
The film takes place in a compressed time frame of a little more than a week and deals with how the characters change within that short span of time. Directed by Shakun Batra, who previously assisted on blockbusters such as Rock On and Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, the film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is expected to be a hilarious love story but not without emotional quotient.
After Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, Ratna Pathak Shah will play Imran Khan’s mother and Boman Irani’s wife in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. The role she plays in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is completely different from what she had played in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
The film's music rights were acquired by T-Series.
Movie Review:- In a smart conversational excerpt from the film, the hero downplays himself as an ordinary guy who doesn't excel in any particular domain. But the heroine finds uniqueness in his commonplace conduct since he never overindulges into anything. She tags him with the paradox - 'perfectly average'. That precisely defines the film as well. It's perfect in whatever it offers. But what it offers is quite average in volume.
Direction, Dialogues and Music:-The writing by Ayesha Devitre and Shakun Batra is a case of too much screenplay without much story.Kareena Kapoor is beautiful in both her looks and acts. Imran Khan…he comes up with a fairly decent act. DirectorShakun Batra shows rare deftness for a first-time filmmaker in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu (EMAET). It is full of honest, warm moments that - to their credit - work without the manipulation most directors resort to in films belonging to this genre.
Overall:- It’s a good time pass Movie.
