Movie Report
Movie Review:-Paan Singh Tomar was an army man who from 1958 represented India and was a seven time national champion in Steeplechase. Indeed Irrfan Khan as Paan Singh Tomar typifies that criminal neglect of all athletes in our country barring cricketers who, as we all know by now, are grossly overrated sportsperson.Tomar was a steeplechase runner. Not that it made any difference to his destiny. In the army for the long innings Tomar, we are told, took voluntary retirement to look after his family and land in his native village.
Direction, Dialogues and Music:-With his faultless performance as a famed athlete who turns into a feared dacoit in director Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Paan Singh Tomar', Irrfan Khan offers us a reminder of his blazing versatility. Directed competently by Dhulia, who's familiar and comfortable even with the dusty terrain, 'Paan Singh Tomar' is made with great attention to detail, and paints an honest, realistic picture of an India few of us can claim to know. Irrfan is 'perfect' in every way and not once does he falter in his portrayal of the character.
Overall:- Paan Singh Tomar is a must watch movie!
