Movie Review:- There's an interesting premise at the heart of debutant director Kapil Sharma's 'I, Me Aur Main', which tells the coming of age story of a 35-year-old. But despite giving us a believable protagonist, Sharma and writer Devika Bhagat fast run out of interesting ideas to keep us hooked. Story about Ishaan Sabharwal is the cool dude every woman loves to love. His girlfriend lets him live with her, at her expense. Quite the mama's boy, his sister is also protective about him. Lady boss at work reserves that poring gaze for him, too. Pampered Ishaan is very much aware of it all. He is happy being the hunk who refuses to grow up.
Direction, Performance and Music:- I, ME AUR MAIN has several worthy of note sequences. Instances: John's I-me-myself attitude comes across very well at the start itself, besides his relationship with Chitrangda. The acting is superficial. Well-shot, showcasing stylish homes, lovely clothes, luscious drinks and luscious Abraham working hard at depicting super-selfish Ishaan.
Overall:- I Me Aur Main falters with its plot, does a mild disservice to the ladies and is unreasonably forgiving of its protagonist. If you can get past that, it’s a film you wouldn’t mind watching once.
