Movie Report
The story of Lucky - No time for love is about a sweet and innocent school girl called Lucky (newcomer Sneha Ullal) who lives in Russia. One day whilst walking around in St. Petersburg, Lucky finds herself in the middle of sudden insurgency. Luckily a local man, Aditya (Salman Khan) decides to help her. They have nothing in common. She's excessively naļ¶„ and he is smart, wicked, charming. They are bound together by just one common goal - to reach home safely. And now begins an unforgettable journey, a journey where violence and tragedy stalk them constantly. They are helped by Colonel Pindidas Kapoor [Mithun Chakraborty], who helps them reach home. Thus the story of the film is fine but there are times when the film simply drags. However the film does look stylish from start to finish. The Russian locales look stunning and offer the viewer something a little different from Switzerland or London. The performances are generally satisfying. Although Salman Khan overacts slightly in places, his overall performance is actually very decent. Newcomer Sneha Ullal looks pretty and her debut performance is good. Mithun Chakraborty suffers from rather weak characterisation and short screen time. Adnan Sami's music is soul-stirring and simply fantastic. Cinematography [Sudeep Chatterjee] is award-worthy. Overall the film deserves a watch, but dont go with sky-high expectations.
