About Movie:-Prithiviraj, one among the new breed of young actors in the south is making his Bollywood debut alongside Rani Mukerji in an offbeat movie produced by none other than Anurag Kashyap. The movie will be directed by Sachin Kundalkar.PAiyya movie is a quirky love story in which Rani Mukherjee is playing the role of a Maharashtrian girl and Prithviraj is playing the role of a south Indian boy. The film is essentially a love story with a fun and lively element to it. Rani plays a Marathi girl whose name is Meenakshi. She falls in love with Prithviraj, who plays the role of a Tamil artist named Surya. The film is set against the backdrop of the cultural clash between the West and the South states of India.
Movie Review:- Aiyaa is the story of a Marathi girl who falls in love with a Tamil artist. The West-South cultural clashes between these two distinct personalities form the basic plot of the film.
Direction, Performance and Music:- Rani Mukerji plunges headlong into the character. Meenaxi is a robust character—a woman trapped by petty familial conditions, angry and yet not overtly rebellious, sexual and colourful in her fantasy. Prithviraj, with his strong, silent screen presence, provides the perfect foil.
Overall:- Good Movie.
