Movie Report
About Movie:- The story is set in Mumbai, about an street-thug played by Vivek Oberoi, who unexpectedly falls in love with Neha Sharma, a young girl who acts simple but is a bigger rebel in person. It is a complete package romance caper about how people unknowingly fall in love with people they least expect to. Jayantabhai, play a role of street-thug and small time gangster.
Movie Review:- Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story is a light, frothy Mumbaiya rom-com. It is romance in the era of the 2G Spectrum Scam. Unlike the scam, this story is totally uncomplicated and entertaining. His is the love story of a 'bhadotri'and her'padosi'. The 'padosi' is a gangster and she is the jobless and helpless damsel. Just after the 2G spectrum scam expose, Simran Desai (Neha Sharma) loses her job and her accommodation. The gangster helps her to achieve her dream and manages to succeed. As the film drags, the heroine falls for Jayantabhai's charms and by the time it ends, the gangster reforms himself.
Direction, Performance and Music:- Oberoi perfects the 'tapori' language but the usual story of a small time thug who wants to take on his 'bhai' is beaten to death and nothing in the film. Neha's job-hunting too, is prolonged and contrived.
Overall:- There are good, funny moments too, which shows the camaraderie between the two lead stars. But on the whole, it's not what one thought one would get on seeing the promos.
