Movie Review:-Chris Farraday (Mark Wahlberg) long ago derelict his life of crime, but after his brother-in-law, Andy (Caleb Landry Jones), botches a drug deal for his cruel boss, Tim Briggs (Giovanni Ribisi), Chris is forced back into doing what he does best- running contraband-to settle Andy's debt. Chris must use his rusty skills to successfully navigate a treacherous criminal network of brutal drug lords, cops and hit men before his wife, Kate (Kate Beckinsale), and sons become their target.Contraband falls into the former category of fun, lightweight films that take full advantage of Wahlberg’s physical appearance, under-utilized sense of humor and charismatic charm (that falls somewhere between a George Clooney and a Michael Shannon).
Direction, Dialogues and Music:-credit of both the cast and director Baltasar Kormakur, the movie is fast-moving and casual entertainment that never bores. A thriller with its share of nail-biting moments.
Overall:-Contraband is a fun little movie well worth an evening out with friends. It's a good, chugging caper movie for the most part.
