About Movie: Brave is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated fantasy adventure film. Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.
Additional Notes: A Disney Digital 3-D release
Movie Review:- Brave” is the story of Princess Merida growing up in Scotland and trying to fit into a world that she doesn’t completely agree with. Her mother, Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), insists that she act as a lady and a princess so that she may one day become a successful queen to her father’s kingdom. When the time comes for her to be betrothed, she defies her mother and sabotages an archery tournament that was to determine the young man who would be her suitor. In her outrage, Queen Elinor throws Merida’s cherished bow into a fire, but her intentions were not meant to be so cruel.
Direction, Performance and Music:- Pixar animation and 3D is first rate, characters really cute. Especially Merida's 3 little brothers. Disney never fails to transport us in their fantasy world and it does the same here. You do get tempted to own a castle, ride a horse and feel the breeze in your hair. You also want to hug your mother and tell her that you love her no matter what the differences.
Overall:- Brave is a great film.
