Movie Report
About Movie:- Hick is a dramatic feature film. The story is about a 13-year-old who runs away to Las Vegas after being abandoned by her parents in Nebraska. Along the way, the girl learns some truths about American society and the peril of her own sexual curiosity.
Movie Review:- Drama about a small-town teenager who leaves her unhappy home to hitchhike to Las Vegas and the questionable people she meets along the way
Direction, Performance and Music:- The actors are all good, but it’s like watching kids in their parents clothing playing dress-up. It’s so cliché that it never has an opportunity to be tawdry, ugly blotchy like poorly done makeup. The acting’s not terrible - Blake Lively does a fine job as the roadrunning post-Thelma and Louise landshark and Eddie Redmayne tends to be at his fishmouthed best when he’s barely unstable - but it never quite finds a proper tone
Overall:- An aimless tumbleweed of a road movie.
