Movie Report
About Movie:- The Perfect Family is an upcoming Comedy movie. Suburban supermom Eileen Cleary (Kathleen Turner) has been nominated for the coveted Catholic Woman of the Year Award at her local parish, and only one final test remains—introducing her family to the board for the seal of approval. Now, as she finally faces the reality of the nonconformist family she’s been glossing over for years, her meddling reaches hilarious new heights in this dysfunctional family comedy.
Movie Review:- A devoutly Catholic wife and mother (Turner), who has been nominated for one of the church's top awards. She goes about trying to prove she has the "perfect" family, refusing to accept them for who they are. Deschanel plays the daughter, a successful lawyer who is a lesbian. The daughter, who is five months pregnant, struggles when it comes time to telling her mother the truth. Meanwhile, the son (Ritter) has just left his wife for an older woman, while the husband (McGrady) is a recovering alcholic. Chamberlain plays the monsignor.
Direction, Dialogues and Music:- The story presents a very honest way of how Eileen handles her daughter’s relationship, pregnancy and nuptials. She is understanding, but awkward in all her dealings with her daughter. She also makes decisions against her daughter she believes to be right due to her religious convictions. Her doling out of Roman Catholic guilt to her son for his infidelity is also believable.
Overall :- Good Movie
