Virginia
Movie Report
About Movie:- Virginia is an upcoming drama movie. It is about single mother struggles to raise her son Emmett while dreaming of escaping her small Southern boardwalk town. A pariah to most in her small beach boardwalk town, Virginia was diagnosed early-on as a hair shy of mentally stable. Her closest friend and 15-year-old son, Emmett, is more father than son to his impulsive, ill-behaved mother. Their shared dream: to skip town for California. They've beenpacked for years. Mussing things up, we discover Emmett's father is likely the older married Mormon sheriff his mother's been having an affairwith for decades, and whose daughter Emmett dreams of eloping with. But secrets have a way of not staying so secret, and circumstances surrounded by madness have a way of getting dire. In their bent world a perfectly reasonable solution arises: to rob Virginia Beach blind on theday the President of the United States pays a much-anticipated visit.
Movie Review:- A sheriff sees his state senate bid slide out onto the ice when his daughter begins to date the son of a charming but psychologically disturbed woman with whom the sheriff has engaged in a two-decade-long affair.
Direction, Performance and Music:- Ms. Connelly gives a brave, full-tilt performance that is true to the character but can't hold the movie together... its tone zigzags among farce, pathos and satire. There's something fundamentally synthetic about 'Virginia,' which lays bare its influences without doing much to reanimate them.
Overall:- Poor Movie, with weak performance, weak story.
