About Movie

About Movie: The Hunger Games is an upcoming sci-fi action drama film. Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Movie Review:-  The film chronicles Katniss’ story as she is taken to The Capitol to fight for her district and her life. Fortunately for fans of the series, the film lives. To be fair with the film, it begins in a compelling way. The first hour and a half fly by in slow-paced, but well etched-out emotional and cinematic moments.

Direction, Dialogues and Music:-  Directed by Gary Ross -- with the clear intention of launching a franchise --Games brings to life Suzanne Collins’ minimalistic sci-fi survival epic by hewing closely to the author’s illustrative text. The Hunger Games” will make you think, possibly shed a tear or two, and it will definitely make you stand up and cheer when the good guys triumph

Overall:- Good Movie
