Four foreign workers in Kuwait suspected of bird flu
Kuwait : Four foreign workers in Kuwait have been suspected of infected with bird flu virus, KUNA news agency reported.
The workers, whose identity and nationality were not revealed, are yet to go through medical examinations to determine whether they were infected or not, Ahmad al-Shatti, a spokesman at the National Joint Committee for Combating Bird Flu, was quoted by KUNA as saying.
Al-Shatti added that the four were among the teams working nationwide to spot and cull bird flu-infected birds.
Kuwait has reported 106 bird flu cases in birds since late February. To control the disease, the emirate has so far culled 1.7 million birds.
