Hewlett-Packard expects printing business to grow in India
Kolkata : Leading technology solutions provider Hewlett-Packard (HP) is hopeful of a higher growth in its imaging and printing business in India.
"HP's imaging and printing division in India recorded 40 percent growth last year. We expect higher growth this year considering the development in the digital printing segment," said Puneet Chadha, Hewlett-Packard India's country manager-commercial sales (imaging and printing group).
"The analogue and digital printing market in India is likely to grow to $17 billion by 2008 from the $11.5 billion now.
"We see a great opportunity in the segment taking into account the fact that the country has emerged as an outsourcing hub and requires more personalised prints in future," Chadha said Thursday.
He said with the growth of specialised printing needs of customers, the number of prints with graphic designs would increase in the near future.
