Iranian official of nuclear plant steps down
Tehran : A senior official in charge of the Bushehr nuclear power plant project has stepped down from his post, a source close to the facility said.
Mahmoud Jannatian, vice president of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), left after handing his resignation a few weeks ago, presumably over managerial problems, source said Monday.
The AEOI is Iran's main official body responsible for implementing regulations and operating nuclear energy installations.
The Bushehr nuclear power plant project is being constructed by Russia in Iran. Earlier this year, Russia suspended fuel deliveries to Bushehr, citing delays in the financing of the project by the Iranian side.
