Los Angeles : Justin Timberlake, who wrote former girlfriend Britney Spears a letter and left messages of support at the Malibu rehab where she is being treated for substance abuse, has denied reports that he's looking to get back together with the troubled pop star.

Timberlake complains that the tabloids were reading something into his concern for Spears that really isn't there, reports www.hollywood.tv.

"They create soap operas out of people's lives," he said. "We had our thing and it's over."
